Would like to seek Parents' reaction on Aadhaar issue:

Why Aadhaar number is considered as mandatory for submitting application Form.

I am sure, all schools and people understand the problem being faced by parents for applying & modification of Aadhaar for kids due to lots of centers already been closed.

For Aaddhar, parents are in long ques like mads at the gates of limited centers opened for applying Aadhaar.

Further what value add it will be doing, if schools are concerned with identity, i am sure KYC/ID of either of parent should be fine.

My views, if Aadhaar is available then good to fill in application if not, it should not be barrier to fill in or complete the form.

At last I believe, Schools are key part of imparting education - they are able to understand the importance of issues and should be quite adaptive rather than of conservative approach.

Leaving open for the views of all other parents and schools.

Wish U a Great Year Ahead ..

I think schools are being pragmatic about the issue. I have noticed that two schools in which Aadhar Number was compulsory field for filling up the form when they opened registration on 27th, have made it an optional field.

This has effectively given some breathing space to parents who can now focus on applying to schools till 17th Jan and would then have to rush for getting Aadhar made for their warde before admission (mid Feb).

Still same is appearing as mandatory field for most of Schools, Parents can focus on filling Admission form and can't wait till Final Aadhaar is allotted. To my understanding not having Aadhaar is not disturbing any of School/Govt. theme. In the better interest of all parents i have written below communication to Min. of Education.

Dear Mr. Manish Sisodia (MOE) & entire team,

Greetings & very Happy New Year !!
Appreciate your efforts and focus for the improvement of education system.
I am sure you might be aware of the facts:
That Nursery school admission process is going on.
Where quoting the compliance of Govt. directives schools are insisting on submitting the Aadhaar card number for students to apply for admission.
Their are lots of kids for which either Aadhaar not applied so far, if applied lots or Aadhaar are pending due to certain queries raised by Aadhaar authorities, if recently applying there is big mess/ques for same.
Above all the big things schools have done, while submitting the online application School's portals are not accepting either AF (Applied for) or Provisional number as input.

I as a layman failed to understand, our system really wants to create continence for public or hurdles. What the worst will happen if no Aadhaar taken at the moment while applying for admission.
Why not Schools are allowed to accept Aadhaar card for either of parent in interim and once the final Aadhaar for student is received, they will furnish the same to school later for your record and reference.
What is the fault of these young kids which are taking first step of their life by applying for admission in Schools opened in our Indian society, should they start facing problem from their first day of interacting with our admin system.
Why these school are carrying discretion to reject the forms because of these small non material issues.
Why schools are insisting all the parents to submit the hard copies of forms too, even when they have duly submitted online. Hard copy submission should be allowed for those parents those due to some reasons not been able to apply on line.
'
Why every school should not have set up one help desk to support parents those coming to their schools to help in applying online and for proper guidance and support.
I am sure if the educated person like respected Mr. Manish Sisodia are on board, such concerns should be duly taken up and addressed in the interest of public, parents and students if duly raised to this appropriate form.
Looking forward for immediate directives to Schools, to clear such issues.
Best Regards

Please send the above letter to Mr. Prakash Javdekar also.

May be because of the attached circular they are making it mandatory.

No matter Govt. has issued such kind of circular, the intent of any provision is to smooth the process and convenience to people.

If some circular issued is creating lots of problem for the public and not going to address any specific purpose of Govt. which if not met will be great loss to their specific agenda, it must be reviewed and another superseding Circular can also be issued.

Hope more and more parents can mail to Min. of Edu. to represent your concern, i am sure you all can't wait for the issuance of regular Aadhaar which is not in our hand.

Has any one filled the forms with Aadhar Enrollment Slip, The aadhar number for myself and daughter is generated already, I have got the address updated recently and e-aadhar not generated yet so I have enrollment slips. Kindly let me know if it will be acceptable from schools.

I do not think any school has the option to fill the form with enrollment slip or acknowledgement no. Yes last year DOE had the option to fill the form with acknowledgement no for EWS/DG category. However, it seems for general category except few school (optional) all have made it mandatory to fill the form with Aadhar no only

Thank you Ajai for replying, basically the Aadhar number is generated already, but since Address was of home town so we got it updated recently. Now we dont have aadhar printed with latest address as the updation process takes time as well., So In that case can we upload the Enrolment slips.

Amit, Aadhar no. will remain same even after the change in address. So you can fill that Aadhar no.
There are many schools in dwarka who are asking for aadhar card at the time of filling the form.
