Yes your son is eligible for EWS/DG admissions. Just get  OBC certificate from SDM office in Delhi.

You can contact EWS/DG helpline for procedure.

Hi Sakshi, Thank you for your valuable feedback. But I am a bit confused on what grounds will Delhi SDM office will be able to give me OBC Certificate. I mean how shall i approach them. Any clue ??

Further, can you pls help me to give any link or contact number for ES/DG Helpline.

You need to submityour existing OBC certificate copy at SDM office and you will be issued New OBC certificate from Delhi  office.

Hello Sakshi Ji,

I have been visiting to SDM office ( nearest to me is MB Road, Saket) but to no avail. They are asking me to submit residence proof of 5 years old but unfortunately I have Voter Id which is issued on August 2014. But at the same time I have My Bank Account Passbook which was issued in year 2008, & they are not accepting it as an proof ( reason given by them is that Account can be operated from anywhere in India).

In this scenario, what is the solution. Kindly suggest.

One more thing i want to Add is that OBC certificate is getting issued for my Son. Is it a right process I am following. Or I need to get OBC certificate for myself.

The cast certificate has to be in name of father.

Rest see FAQ as if child does not have it.

When asked from SDM office that I Need to get my son's admission in DG category and hence I need OBC certificate, they said it should be issued for Son not Father since he (Father) already have OBC certificate issued by Punjab Authorities.

See point no 15 of FAQ link i shared above child obc certificate not mandatory ,rest  have you done formalities for father certificate from Delhi SDM office as posted above ?

Show them printout of FAQ on EWS/DG link point no 15.

Hello Sakshi Ji,

I was unable to reply you on following msg. from your side so writing you here.

We have applied for our child OBC certificate only and thankfully they have accepted the documents today.

No, we have not applied for his Father's OBC Certificate ( from Delhi).

If I will get OBC Certificate for my Child and his Father's OBC remain from Punjab only, Am I able to go for admissions in DG Category.

I have gone through all the FAQ's given in link shared by you. Yes these are very helpful. But Authorities of SDM office have not guided us to get Father's OBC issued from here in Delhi as i have stated earlier also.

This is very disappointing for me and I am worried now. Pls help.
