Why everyone is jumping on a conclusion, its too early for that. Earlier also till 16 nothing was to done in terms of fresh admissions, same is the case now. Don't worry have faith nothing will happen to those who have deposited fees.

Right now there is no need to react aggressively just stay calm and here the SC first.

R K, It is better to prepare for the worst because what is happening now is beyond the scope of everyone thinking.

Today morning I met someone who were trying to sync up with all same category parents who have got admitted but are affected by yday's stay. They are all 70 points who got selected in draw. They even shared their no. 9013106126. Any one interested may call or sms to them.

What about people who are at 70 points with no hope of admission? It is a mess created by the senseless decisions by DOE. If Govt cant ensure admission of all it has no business to poke their nose in the admission process of Pvt schools. The decision to scrap Management quota, and the stupid IST and 8km rule, only increased our problems manifolds. First schools increased fee to their liking without being challenged on the pretext of loosing management quota. Then they bugged with number of open seats announced, draw of lots and are `also taking huge donations. Add to it the EWS mess where all in sundry seem to have got fake EWS certificates. Not only they got admission their expenses will have to be born by us whereas it is the Govt that should do it.

Very true

Folks - I agree with Mark that it might be just a temporary halt. Data will play a critical role as of now and these are my calculations basis realistic assumptions(only for Nursery). if we take the data submitted in court by DOE starting April then

1. a total of 282,730 applications were submitted for Nursery which on an average of 5 (assuming everyone applied for 5 schools in minimum) comes to 56546 candidates for 32,036 seats (open category)

2. Assume that only siblings and staff quota are allowed to keep their seats . this number is 8812 and 671 respectively so we left with 22,553 seats for alumni, 70 pointers and IST (including girl child)

3. there are a total of 14,433 seats allotted to alumni, 70 pointers and girl quota on which all parents had to choose only one and release remaining by April 9th. Assuming that 33% seats were released as I know every second parent who was choosing between one or the other but still taking 33% on a conservative side - 4763 seats got released.

4. Released seats (4763) + open seats (8120) = 12883 seats are open for remaining 70 pointers and IST.

in the end only 9670 seats have been allocated to alumni and 70 pointers and there are more number of seats which will be open so IST is getting a fair chance as there is not much of a difference in ratio / chances of acquiring a seat. IST are still to benefit.

I think its just a matter of time and judicial system addressing the rights of citizens but they know what they have to do systematically and in what time. I think we should ease out as of now.

I think we need to be very careful since the matter is before the SC. We cannot let a handful of IST parents hijack the admission process. I think everyone agrees that IST points never make any sense. Even genuine cases, why should someone who has come to Delhi in the last 1 year get preference over someone who has spent the last 20 years in Delhi? this completely defies logic. For mid-year transfer cases, most government schools and army and airforce schools allow a certain percentage to move in the middle of the year. Now parents with fake or genuine IST points have gone to the SC. If other parents whether alumni or 70 pointers who have got admission do not come together and protest, the SC might think that the IST pointers have support of most people which is completely false.

Does anyone have a complete list of matters and advocates appearing in these cases? we must find the right senior counsel and team to support the case of people who have already got admission. I am open to suggestions i.e. Dharna etc but my suggestion is that we gather support of parents on AN and then make sure that either the DOE or the schools lawyers are fighting for parents whose children have got admission.

My little daughter asks me when will I go school. N. I have no reply
I just wanna tell those people plz let d process begun then only things will become cclear. Every child will get seats. We have to wait for 2nd n 3rd lists
@Shilpa: same here my daughter doesn't want to go to playsch anymore, she cries n says mamma
Wen wl I go to Didi sch? Preparing ur kid for new sch n that is nt gaping Bcoz of PIL
I request parents not to blame each other . This year so many litigation and pil r because of unjustified regulations of DOE . Lets have faith in SC that it will come with solution suited to masses and be strict on doe.
Don't think I am not suffering I got admission in school 8 km from my house and my child will be travelling for 2 1/2 hrs and transport allowance is massive 3750 rs , though I have 3 good schools within 200 mts of my house.
Koi in DOE/Najeeb Jung/HC/SC walo ko bataye ki how difficult it is to send a little one so far till 8 kms.... Nd if by chance little one falls ill how difficult wud be it to send nd bring back the child from there... especially if both parents are working..... and after all the transport fees is also more than tuition fees of most of the schools .... nd really believe me in such a scenario of traffic jams if a kud is late by 1/2 an hr to an hour it would be a real mental trauma and torture for parents as well as children bith .... is baar to 14 years k liye chutti ho gai un parents ki jinhke kids dur k schools main admission hue hain Alas!.... maana some students are even going to distance from 8-12 kms of school even but i am dam sure that most of parents nearby mire than 80% parents want their kid to send in a nearby school only... which will give them ease at many levels like less travel time, easy to go ptm's, less transport fees ... ek ek factor se bahut kuch banta aur bigadta he....after all its a matter of handling a whole system for parents.... but ye authorities nahi samjhengi... :-(

@mansi maam... with all respect... i want to say that parents are just crazy to send there kids to far far away so called top schools.... i want to state that i see "heritage school... VK" bus daily in janaKPURI.... what you say about that...

I just can imagine when those kids   at 6:00 am wake up in morning and reach home in evening.... childhood spoiled totally.... we all do it to show off in front of other that my kid into this school and that school....
