Does anybody has any idea of the school timins for Nursery in Amity noida??

did anyone fron east delhi recieved courier for somerville school...though in the form ,in recent address we have given our delhi address,and for the permanent address we have mentioned the address of our noida flat(it is under construction,and we will get the possession only in 2012 end..)...dont know whether they are accepting forms of delhi residents or not???its reaaaaaaaaaaaaally difficult to get nursery admission for our child....

just keep all your facts together...make a small questionnaire and answers specific to both of your background, nature of child, his/her likings etc...reasons to choose Apeejay, your expectations from the school..etc...
..you can take help from the 50 questions set in this Forum given by Sumit sir...but pls more or less keep your answers very specific to you..

Regarding Cambridge Noida:
Cambridge is the oldest school in Noida established in 1981(Alumnis are doing very well).
Its not affliated to Cambridge England in any form... its a pure CBSE board school having many branches in Delhi & NCR.
A very good school with lots of positives:
1. Value education--strong emphasis on moral & cultural values.
2. Blanced academic rigour alongwith strong focus on sports & cocurriculars. Children are much more balanced, have good leadership skills, and know many fine arts, crafts.Consistent good results of 10th & 12th CBSE board.
3. Students have many chances to go for excursions, study tours inside and outside India. (6th class onwards).
4. Strong faculty-very mature teachers. Principal is very helping. Teachers are trained frequently.
5. In house Counsellors-holding counselling sessions for needy students.
6, A value for money school-Fees are not so high in comparision to other good schools in Noida.
(i can tell this all from my personal experiences as my nephew & niece are studying here since last 7 years).
Regarding Interactions: (as happened last year with us)
Child Interaction: In a separate room where teachers see child's performance in colouring, pattern making, blocks making, shapes identification. Many childrens may be undergoing interaction at the same time.Its a simple interaction, pls practice your child at home on these activities.
Parents' Interaction alongwith Child: In rooms where 2-3 interactions happening in separate tables at the same time. 2 teachers with each parents at a table. Simple questions regarding educational&work experience, strength of the child, why cambridge?,how do you spend time with child at home?, is your family nuclear or joint?.were some of the sample questions i can recollect.
Overall pls just be confident. All parents answer to same questions in their own way..and that's the right approach..one just need to be honest and confident on one's points.

Your knowledge about the achools is tremendous, information is huge and up 2 date and response is also very prompt.
What are the expectations is APJ round2. Many parens have written that againt 250-300 seats, they have called 800 hence chances of 1:3. But that may not be the case. By the time APJ results are out, schools like Amity ,CAmbrdige, DPS will complete the admission process and many children will be common in the list. I belive that chances are good in APJ. Can you educate on this.

yes you are right for this probability..
i happens every year that many parents have more than one good options in hand and then choose the right one as per their preference...
..it can not be specific to Apeejay or any other school..as parents may prefer one school better than the other & vice versa....ultimately many of these top rung schools might keep some buffer seats in their hands or put out some additional list...one way or the other, but at the end all schools have their admission quota fully filled...
(if we do a simple math, and assuming that any school do not increase their nursery sections abruptly in any given year, we can presume that all these good schools have minimum 4 sections of maximum 50 students each, as parents say that cambridge has 8 sections, or amity has around 12 section...so total seats we are fighting for in dps, amity, apeejay, somerville, father agnel & cambridge can come out approx.between 2200-2500. So this can give us an indication. )

Hi Motherindia...
Its a very unique case..and i think in such scenario one needs to be honest...
may be you can discuss that before your actual interaction time with the admission incharge there (principal, headmistress or any other)..i feel that any school does not discriminate on this issue...in a positive aspect school can see it as a good challenge for a single mother to bring up the child...
(for other alternative Sumit sir has well asked you for docuemts of absence)
