Also we have done article in Hindustan today.

My son got admitted under DG quota (OBC-non creamy layer) this year.

In this regard, I wish to know that as per guidelines of DoE, I fullfill all the conditions for OBC-non creamy layer and got issued valid certificate in the name of myself and also for my son from Delhi itself. However I have confusion on the point suppose after passing some years my income crosses 8 lakh per annum limit which is required for OBC Non creamy layer, then technically I shall not be in creamy layer. In that case, whether fee which is at this time exempted, will start getting charged in case of my son.

Another case is like any EWS parent gets admission in any school with fee exemption under EWS quota having less than 1 lakh income. Suppose after some years, his income gets pass the 1 lakh limit, whether benefit of EWS quota and fee free admission will change and parent will have to pay fee in that school, or after getting once admission under EWS/DG quota, there will be no change in exemption from fee, even though status of parent gets changed.

I earnestly request to kindly clarify this point and also if any supporting govt. official documents available in this regard, so that I may take right decision in admission under EWS/DG Quota.

Thanks and regards.

Himanshu

1 EWS parents have to produce income certificate every year to respective school, in case the income  increases more then one Lac  per year, EWS parents have to pay the fees.

2 OBC-Non creamy layer, in case school demands the income certificate and income increases more than the income eligible at that time for OBC-Non creamy layer,OBC-Non creamy layer parent has to pay the fees.

Respected Mam

Thanks for reply. Is there any specific guidelines in this regards coz I have noticed some of the persons who are still availing benefit of EWS/DG Quota once they got their children admitted under this quota. They were never asked for skipping the benefit.

Himanshu

Yes, Some schools might not ask every year, but  it is mandatory.

Rest you can contact your DD of your zone, and ask for notification as it might be very old since RTE was implemented in 2009.

Thanks Mam, a great help in getting over the confusion and finalizing my decision.

Anytime :)
