DPS MR : Discrepancy in name in 2nd wait list

Dear Sakshi/parents

In the wait-list 2 for nursery admission that was declared on 24th, the waiting list No 9 was written as 1457 on the whiteboard board. This is the registration number of my daughter.

However in the list which was uploaded on the website, the number was written as 457.

When we visited the school, they said there has been a human error, but said they cant help as as the seat now belongs to the child who's name is there.

We requested for the video surveillance of the draw to confirm if the name was ours or theirs. But they said it will take some time.

Do any parents have any experience of such a human error and how it should be handled.

Can we take the legal course/RTI, if not provided with a convincing response from the school.

First file complaint at http://doepvt.delhi.gov.in/ toady immediately

as they have to keep videography for 3 months as per DOE

we don't think you will required to go for legal recourse but if required after then only go ,as things would be solved out at DOE level only

You can file RTI to Education Dept not School directly

Thank you Sakshi.

We got the receiving on a written application we gave them, explaining the issue. They said we should get back after two days. Should we wait for the two days they asked, before logging a complaint? As the communication was verbal only with no record. What if they put us off again, saying they will need more time.
