Sub - Schools harassing parents by refusing to refund any admission fees   even as DOE fee refund policy exists.

We are getting complaints on daily basis that many schools are refusing to refund  money after submission of fees  and giving irrational logic that no DOE refund policy was issued this year(2015-2015) so no money is refundable .
Please find just few  complaints of parents with school name just received in last 24 hrs

Dear Mr. Vohra

Schools are not giving proper information about refund fee. DAV Public School Jasola is saying once the fees paid there will be no refund except Rs. 500/-

Can you please advice us on this.

On tuesday (20-Jan-2015) i got my daughter admitted to SBDAV to block the seat.

Yesterday I enquired about the refund policy.

Mam at counter 2 clearly said only INR 500 refundable security deposit will be refunded. Else all will be forfeited.

I said the DOE order said something else. She said that order was for last year. This year there is no order as such.

 

As all schools and parents are aware the last order  by DOE  stands valid unless a new one is passed...It is requested to take necessary steps and consider our request(dated 29 Dec 2014 to make ,fee refund policy valid for min 2 month)

 
Last if any action has been taken against PDPS (Shalimar Bagh) or Sneh International (Rajdhani enclave)then the show cause notice should be brought in public domain or at lest the complaintaint should be informed.

@ anshu, I think we cannot do in case of management quota seat. Rest depends upon u.  We are mentally prepared for the same.

Any update on "Sumit Vohra complaints to Shri Arvind Kejriwal/Mr Manish Sisodia after DOE not takes any action on schools refusing to refund fees as per govt norms". Any hope to get our money from schools.

Hi Moderators,

I need to withdraw my ward's nursery admission from National Victor Public School, IP ext. I have submitted a written application on 16 Feb 2015. They have not given me any receipt/acknowledgement for the same. I am not getting any response from them regarding refund. I had given 15000 rs cheque for quaterly fees + 200 rs cash at admission time on 25 Jan  2015. Cheuqe is still not deposited in bank.

How do I proceed ?

Glad to hear. Schools have now began to act after Dy. CM's reaction on complaints and reminders from Mr.Vohra in behalf of parent community.

My sons name was in the wait list of Apeejay Saket.

Received a call from Apeejay Saket for my sons admission in nursery. Funniest people I've come across so far.

Expecting  Rs. 43,500/- against orientation charges along with Rs. 700/- as admission and security charges. Those who think this is it....wait...show abhi baaki hai...

Quarterly fee for the first three months has to be given in the month of march which is around Rs. 37,000/-.And they call it admission under general category.

Imagine, it takes Rs. 43,500/- to orient parents and children in three sessions to understand the whole ball game of nursery education.

These schools are openly asking for donations either in the name of building charges/ orientation charges and making fun of the whole education system. Are we parents are so dumb stricken that we cannot read between the lines?

I had cancelled admission for my ward in Amity International Saket..The school is not responding..have even written to the principal but there has been no revert yet....although AMITY Saket has given us proper receipts but you never know until you hear from these schools
