It is a keep going process. Meaningful discussion may bring solution to some extent acceptable to majority. Distance slab will affect chances of admissions. Why can't same distance slab be implemented as of EWS category i.e. 0-1 Km, 1-3, 3-6 and above 6 Kms. Once this category is approved by the govt. whjy can't be for open seats.

Additionally, siblings and st born child be it boy or girl should be considered. However, single parent can also be included into discussion. That's all. No other point.

Distance : 60 (0-1=60; 1-3=40; 3-6=20; >6= 10)

Sibling   :  20

1st born :  20

Yes Sevekram ji  why different rules for ews n general cat. Our founder Mr Vohra  has raised very valid point as last year ncr parents got admission  in dps  Rkpuram but parents staying near school cud not.

Single parents is just an option to consider as it fetched negligible no. of seats in most of the schools. Even it may be rejected based on the data submitted by the schools ethically. No use of awarding pts for SP if %age remains less than 5 (simply delete/ignore).

No to mgmt quota,

No to transfer quota

No to Alumni quota

Yes to Staff quota including serving parents and grandparents.

Distance slab should not be there....because there are many areas in delhi which has no good school in there near by.... like burari and uttam nagar..... this slab and points will not help any parent from these areas to get there ward admitted in any school.... then the schools will play there cheap game of money.....

Dear Mahesh Sir, suggest in place of distance criteria.

Sir i have no idea.... the fight for few schools...

And over the year we all have seen that schools follow there own rules and don't care about court verdict and DOE guidelines

Mahesh

Last year when 8km rule was there, same problem was faced. Places like Sonia vihar/ Chaatatarpur/ Jamia Nagar/ Sarita Vihar and many places did not have have any good schools . so same problem would be faced .

As per RTE distance should be Given preference (Neighborhood) Thats why ews has 0-1/1-3 km criteria as national rule

so we have suggested that max area  should be covered and option of safe transport ( any person who gives undertaking of pick and drop should be given neighborhood points from any part of Delhi .It was also recommended in Ganguly committee)

Else it become indirect lottery and no preference to the children living close to the school.

You would agree the distance is the first criteria every parent advocates for 3yrs old child.

But maam giving priority to few people who live in or near to  few areas which get some good schools...is also not good
