INFORMATION REGARDING ADMISSION FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR APRIL 2017 -- MARCH 2018 1. It is very important that the application form be filled up NEATLY and legibly in ENGLISH in BLOCK letters. Please do not fold the form. 2. Please do not write any prefix like Mr/Miss/Kumar/Kumari etc, before the name. Write the correct official name only (no pet name please). Please do not change names later on. Leave one space after every name. 3. Photocopy of the following documents are to be submitted along with the Form. No original documents to be given. a) Birth Certificate of the applicant child from Municipal Corporation/Local authority should be attached to the Application Form. b) Proof of residence (Passport/Voter I- Card/Electricity Bill/MTNL Telephone Bill/Water Bill/Aadhaar card/Ration card/Domicile certificate) –attach any one. c) Proof of sibling in St George’s school – (I card or diary front page). d) Only religious minority (Christian) Membership Letter from the concerned Church and no recommendation letter. e) Proof of Alumni of St George’s school (XII passing out Certificate). f) Proof of Disability (Learning Disability). 4. School will not provide transport facility to Pre-school children. 5. Documents once submitted in the school will not be returned. 6. Last date of submission of completely filled up form is 23-01-2017 by 1 pm ONLY. 7. Incomplete registration forms or those with incorrect information automatically stand rejected. 8. Any action to influence the admission procedure will go against the candidate concerned. 9. The school does not accept any donations for admission. Parents should beware of third parties making false claims of procuring admission and collecting money on behalf of the school. If they enter into any transaction with such parties, they will be doing so at their own risk and the school shall not be responsible for it. The school will appreciate to know if there is any person or persons so that proper legal action can be taken against them. 10. No telephonic enquiry about admissions will be entertained. 11. The draw of lots for the eligible candidates will be held on 11-02-2017 at 10:00 am in the school. 12. The list of successful applicants will be displayed on the school notice board as well as web site (www.sgs.edu.in) at 3 pm.as per details given below List Details List Display Dates Time I List 15th February 2017 3 pm II List (if any) 28th February 2017 3 pm 13. Instructions about checking of documents and fees payment will be displayed along with the list. Note: Changes if any will be applicable as per the specifications by the Directorate of Education, Govt. of NCT, Delhi. The school will not be responsible in such a situation. Criteria for Admission to Pre School 2017-2018 Total Seats - 200 Special Need Students (3%) - 6 Christian Minority - 60 Siblings - 50 Alumni - 10 Staff - 10 General Category - 64 Applicants who are residing within 8 km from the school only can apply for admission. If seats in the above category remain unfilled the same will be treated as general category and admission to these seats will be on the basis of draw of lots. No EWS Category for Minority Schools SCHOOL WILL NOT PROVIDE TRANSPORT FECILITY TO PRE-SCHOOL CHILDREN

The extended date for accepting EWS Nursery forms is not applicable to St. George’s School since this is a Minority School.

On school website there is a new notification saying the draw of lots has been postponed. Also it is not compulsory to attend.

Scheme for admission to Pre-school (Nursery) 2017-18

Registration for admission to pre-school (Nursery) for academic session 2017-18 shall be made from 2^st January to 23^rd January 2017 .Payment of rupees Twenty Five (Rs.25/-) as registration charges shall have to be made while submitting Registration form alongwith requisite documents.

The number of vacancies for session 2017-18 are as under :

a). Total number of seats 105

b). Number of seats earmarked for students

belonging to Disadvantaged group and

EWS Category 27

c). Management Quota seats 15

d). Number of seats for staff quota 3

e). Number of seats available for General

Category 60

The proposed Tuition fee for Pre-school (Nursery) session 2017-18 is Rs. 3000/- p.m.

Criteria for preparation of Merit List (General Category) shall be based on points system. The points shall be awarded on the following basis :

PARAMETERS POINTS

a). *Neighborhood/ Distance factor

0 – 10 Km (option i to iv) 50

Above 10 Km. 0

b). Sibling 20

c). Girl Child/ First born child 30

If there is tie on points scored by the candidates, selection shall be made on the basis of draw of lots. The date and time of draw of lots for general category shall be available on school website www.ngfsmalviyanagar.com on 9.02.2017 and shall also be displayed on the school notice board on 9.02.2017

Information regarding nursery Registration (General Category) 2017-18

The Registration for admission to Nursery class for the Academic session 2017-18 will begin from 2^st January to 23^rd January,2017. The last date for submission of Registration form and payment of registration fee of Rs. 25/- shall also be 23.1.2017 upto 1 p.m. only

The age criteria for Nursery is 3+ as on 1^st April, 2017 i.e. born on or before 31.03.2014. Filled in registration form , together with self attested copies of the documents mentioned below be deposited in the office of the school along with prescribed registration fee within the prescribed time limit. The office shall remain open for deposit of Registration forms on all working days from 9 a.m to 12 noon except on 23.1.2017 when forms shall be accepted upto 1 p.m.

First List of selected candidates and Waiting List can be checked on the school website www.ngfsmalviyanagar.com on 15^th February, 2017 and 2^nd List (if any) on 28^th February, 2017 and the same shall also be displayed on the school notice board.

PLEASE NOTE:

Fill up the form completely.
Incomplete form /documents shall stand rejected.
Non-deposit of form and prescribed fee and documents will mean non-participation in the admission process.
To know the result of your ward visit the school website or check the school notice board on 15^th February, 2017 after 2 p.m.
To check the list of eligible candidates visit the school website or check the school notice board on 6.2.2017 after 1 p.m.

EWS and Disadvantaged group : Registration and admission for EWS and D.G. category shall be in accordance with the scheme yet to be announced by the Directorate of Education.

v Distance Chart shall be displayed on the school notice board for award of points on account of Neighbourhood/Distance factor.

The admission process for Class Pre-School Session 2017-18 is withheld till the fresh guidelines are issued by the Directorate of Education, Govt. of NCT of Delhi.
