PROCESS OF SELECTION FOR ADMISSION : GENERAL / NON ITBP CATEGORY

UNDER POINT SYSTEM

The selection under GENERAL/Non ITBP category will be on the basis of Criteria (under point system) as given above.
The school will not conduct any interview of the child or the parent. However, the school may call parents/guardian with the purpose to ascertain the veracity and correctness of the documents/details, which will be communicated to the parents/guardian in writing in advance.
There shall be no overall lottery system to select/short list a child for admission. However, lottery may be adopted in case there is a tie amongst the applicants.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS  The age of the applicant should be Four years as on 31st March,2017 i.e a child born between 01/04/2012 to 31/03/2013.  The forms will available at the school reception .Timings:9:00 a.m.to 1:00 p.m from Tuesday,10th January,2017 to Tuesday, 31 st January,2017 (8:00 a.m. to upto 4:00 p.m. only on 31st January,2017).  Incomplete Forms will be rejected.  Admission will be confirmed subject to verification of required information / documents.  Distance to school will be calculated as per distance and area table. The areas / localities / colonies within the range of the school are mentioned in the distance and area table-Annexure-I.

 CRITERIA UNDER OPEN/ GENERAL CATEGORY : The school shall strictly follow the Criteria for Neighborhood issued by Directorate of Education vide Notification No F.DE/15/1031/ACT/2016/12668 dated 7th January, 2017.

CRITERIA FOR NEIGHBOURHOOD: (i) Admission shall first be offered to students residing within 1 km of the school. (ii) In case the vacancy remains unfilled, students residing within 1 to 3 kms of the school shall be admitted. (iii) If there are still vacancies, then the admission shall be offered to other students residing within 3 to 6 kms of the school. (iv) Students residing beyond 6 kms shall be admitted only in case vacancies remain unfilled even after considering all the students within 6 kms area. '

PROCESS OF ADMISSION: GENERAL /NON CRPF CATEGORY WITHIN NEIGHBOURHOOD (i) The school shall declare the total number of seats for General Category (Total seats - EWS/DG seats) as per the guidelines prescribed by the department. (ii) The school shall first segregate the applications having residence within the first neighborhood range of 0-1 km. (iii) Out of the total applications from the first neighborhood range of 0-1 km, the school shall first give admission to all siblings. (iv) If the applications of sibling category, in neighborhood range of 0-1 km are in excess of the seats of General Category, the draw of lots of all sibling applications (which have residence within 1 km), shall be conducted to admit the students against the number of available seats. (v) If the applications of sibling category within 0-1 km are less than the seats of General Category and if seats still remain vacant after exhausting sibling applications, the school shall admit the students on the basis of draw of lots from the remaining applications received under the neighborhood range of 0- 1 km. (vi) In case the total applications of 0-1 km is less than the number of seats of General Category, and vacancies still remain unfilled after exhausting the applications from the distance range of 0-1 km, the applications from the second distance range of neighborhood of 1-3 kms shall be considered in the above manner. 4 (vii) If vacancies still remain unfilled after exhausting the applications from the distance range of 1-3 kms, the applications from the third distance range of neighborhood of 3-6 kms shall be considered in the above manner. (viii) Students residing beyond 6 kms shall be admitted only in case vacancies remain unfilled even after considering all the students within 6 kms after following the procedure as mentioned above.

Hi we live in Vasant Kunj Enclave which is a new area developed near Nangal Dewat. Our all ID's are of that area. Almost none of the schools have mentioned it in their Forms. DPS vasantkunj from our house is only 2.5 kms, whereas after filling the form we got 0points for location. No-one is answering their phone. Don't know what to do.
