Hi Sakshi,

How can one apply for Management Quota seats in school?

Will there be an option while filling out the form, can we fill forms for both general and management seats?

Moreover, there are few schools in west delhi who has already floated their "Donation" amount through various sources. 

Been to a one of the most reputed school in my area, and for my utter surprise School's security guard told me that this year asking amount is Rs.4,00,000/- and he said come back tomorrow I'll get you forms and make you meet the concerned person's. And, one of the School's in JanakPuri has demanded Rs.8,00,000/- which can be negotiated if we bring them more admissions under this scheme.

Seems like Right to Education for all, DOE's guidelines, Fair Point system is all farce. Schools will do what they have to.

With a view to provide adequate notice / time to the parent / guardians to plan for the admission of their wards and in the light of directions of Hon’ble High Court vide its order dated 20.01.2017 in WPC 408/2017 & WPC 409/2017, it has been decided to implement the upper age limit  from the next academic session 2019-2020 i.e., Less than 4 years as on 31st March of the year in which the admission is sought (vide DOE Order No. DE. 15 (303)/Act-I/2013/5348 to 5355 dated 18.12.2015).

3. Registration

Registration of General Category will be completely Online on the school website  www.dpsrkp.net

There is NO FEE charged for Online Registration.

Duplicate registration will automatically amount to the cancellation of any one of the registrations of the applicant.

Apply for admission to only one of the two Junior Schools (DPS East of Kailash OR DPS Vasant Vihar). Applications submitted in both the schools will result in the CANCELLATION of both the applications.

4. Neighbourhood Consideration

5. Essential Documents Required

The applicants shall produce the relevant documents in original at the time of verification along with a set of SELF ATTESTED photocopies listed below as and when required by the school (Refer point 6 (iii)). Kindly note these are not required at the time of online registration.

i	FOR ALL APPLICANTS Birth Certificate issued by the Municipal Corporation  (Minimum Age: 3 Years by 31st March, 2018) as per DOE Order NO. F./DE/15/1031/ACT/2007/7002 dated 24.11.2007 Parents please note: However, with a view to provide adequate notice / time to the parent / guardians to plan for the admission of their wards and in the light of directions of Hon’ble High Court vide its order dated 20.01.2017 in WPC 408/2017 & WPC 409/2017, it has been decided to implement the upper age limit – Less than 4 years as on 31st March of the year in which the admission is sought from the next academic session 2019-2020 (vide DOE Order No. DE. 15 (303)/Act-I/2013/5348 to 5355 dated 18.12.2015).
ii	FOR ALL APPLICANTS Proof of residence (Minimum 2 out of the following) Ration card/Smart Card issued in the name of parents (mother/father having name of the child.) Domicile certificate of child or his / her parents. Voter Identity Card /EPIC of any of the parents. Electricity Bill / MTNL Telephone Bill / Water Bill / Passport in the name of any of the parents or child. Aadhar Card / Unique Identity Card in the name of any of the parents.
iii	FOR SIBLING A copy of the Fee Bill / RFID Card issued by the school office for the Academic Session 2017-2018.
iv	FOR ALUMNI A copy of the pass certificate of X / XII issued by CBSE.
v	FOR SINGLE PARENT  Relevant legal documents certifying the same.

• Admission to the school is subject to verification of the documents listed above, and submission of a letter of undertaking, self-attested by both the parents in front of the verification team. The undertaking should clearly certify that the information given is correct and the documents submitted are true copies of the original.

• This undertaking will also imply, that the parents accept the decision of the school to cancel the registration / admission as final and binding, if at any given time the information or document submitted is found to be wrong/fake/untrue.

6. Steps involved in the Admission Process for GENERAL CATEGORY:

STEMP	DESCRIPTION
i	At the first instance, the names of ‘SHORT-LISTED’ applicants who have higher value points/  above the cut-off i.e. above the points of other applicants will be put up. The ‘GENERAL Category LIST FOR DRAW OF LOTS’ (for applicants with same value points in a tie for remaining seats) will also be put up. NOTE:  Criteria for Twins: In the case of twins, if one is selected the other twin will get sibling points. In a situation of draw of lots, the names of both will be considered in a single chit. Either both will be selected or both will not be considered for admission.
ii	The details and schedule of the ‘GENERAL CATEGORY DRAW OF LOTS’ will be available on the school website. The draw will be held using a random method, in complete transparency.
iii	The verification process of the documents will be held in the respective Junior Schools as and when intimated by the respective admission team of the Junior School for the applicants, whose points are within the zone of consideration. Please note, both parents have to be present to submit self-attested copies of the above listed documents and to sign the letter of undertaking in the presence of the verification team.
iv	FIRST LIST – The First List of PROVISIONALLY SELECTED CHILDREN & WAITLISTED CHILDREN will be displayed on the school website for further completion of formalities i.e. filling up of the Admission Form, submission of true copies, verification of Original Certificates, medical formalities and fee deposit.
vi	SECOND LIST – After assessing the vacancies, the Second List (if any) of PROVISIONALLY SELECTED CHILDREN will be declared as per schedule. Please note, waitlisted children under the GENERAL CATEGORY LIST will move up as per their position. In case of any further vacancies the 3rd, 4th, 5th list will be declared.
vii	All admissions will close on 31st March 2018.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR PARENTS OF THE SELECTED CANDIDATES

You are requested to come to DPS R. K. Puram, Sector XII with your ward for his/her medical check-up. Kindly bring the following papers / documents to complete the admission formalities for Pre-School for the session 2018 - 2019

• • A Pay Order / Banker’s Cheque of Rs.60,000/- (Rupees Sixty Thousand only) in favour of the respective Junior School i.e. Delhi Public School, Vasant Vihar / Delhi Public School, East of Kailash payable at New Delhi. This amount will be adjusted against the fee for the academic session 2018 - 2019. The balance amount will be paid in equal instalments.  Details will be mentioned in the fee bill which will be issued in due course of time. 

  • Medical Form duly completed and signed by a Registered Medical Doctor.

  • Two passport size photographs each of the child, the father and the mother.

  • Original Birth Certificate issued by the Municipal Corporation.

  • Proof of residence as listed on the school website.  Originals have to be shown for final verification.

  • In case of Sibling, the fee bill issued by the school office for the academic session 2017 - 2018.

  • In case of Alumni, a copy of the passing certificate of X / XII issued by CBSE.

  • In case of Single Parent – legal document certifying the same.

Hi Sakshi,

My child is in Waiting List (below 10) for DPS Vasant Vihar (RK Puram), Do they announce any second list? since I cannot find their last year details from their site, could you guide shall I wait for the second list or should I proceed with schools which my child got already selected in the first list.

You will get call from school if document verification already done and list will follow as you will get confirm admission.

No harm contacting after last date of fee submission of 1st list is over.

Thank you very much. Actually I called the school today morning, they are saying check the web for further update, that is why I posted my query. The admission time slot given by them for first list is already over on 17th itself. By the way did they came up with any second list in previous years?
