What are the basic amenities an International School must provide? Who decides that and who keeps a check on International schools whether they are providing those required things to the kids ?
Would actually like to know difference between a normal Public school and an International school as I see a lot of difference in their fee structure.
Thanks!

There is no hard n fast rule but affiliation to any international board is mandatory for any Indian school.

Where any international  chain can follow up cbse /icse curriculum

Thanks Sakshi for your reply. But I heard that an International school must provide AC buses, AC in school, certain sports facility like swimming, skating area and that's the reason their fee structure is high. I am not sure if this is true but just wanted to confirm if that's actually the fact.

Pls chk website of dps int r k p n saket  ..truely international schoool. Rest in ncr schools which r not int ..they have all the facilities.

Basic requirement is affiliation rest  school specific.

Schools having International tag boasting International standards and facilities are not international schools. As Sakshi Mam said those really International schools should be affiliated with International boards following the below curriculum.

International Baccalaureate (IB) as a curriculum is gaining recognition among elite parents intending to send their wards abroad for higher studies. The IB program of study is known throughout the world. The IB program is more practical, interactive and application-based. It has a broader spectrum of subjects that lead to all-round development. IB examinations test students' knowledge, not their memory and speed. There are no examinations till the Middle Years Program (Class 10). The focus of the IB pedagogy is on 'how to learn' rather than 'what to learn'. The IB curriculum is more challenging than educational boards like CBSE and ICSE. But the challenge is in the quality of assignments, not in the amount of work assigned. Very expensive. This Curriculum is suited for those relocating to different parts of the world. No Stress on students and syllabus as par with International Standards.

IGCSE - The International General Certificate of Secondary Education is a 2 years programme encompassing class 9 and class 10. Students from other boards can join at class 9. The IGCSE prepares students for further academic study including progression to AS Level and A Level study, Cambridge Pre-U, IB Diploma Programme and other equivalents. It is recognised by academic institutions and employers around the world. It is a qualification based on individual subjects of study, meaning one receives an "IGCSE" qualification for each subject one takes. For this reason, schools worldwide have different expectations for their students as to how many IGCSEs should be taken. Typical "core" curriculam for IGCSE candidates includes a First Language, Second Language, Mathematics and the Sciences. IGCSE candidates then choose a number of additional courses ranging from Social Sciences to Creative Arts. The IGCSE is predominantly exam-based, meaning they are not actual certified "courses", but rather exams that test knowledge in individual subjects in the same way as Advanced Placement exams and SAT Subject Tests. The examination board Edexcel offers its own version, the Edexcel IGCSE. Very Expensive.
