Nursery Admissions in Delhi NCR 2024-25

Below is my feedback on the school -

1. The receptionist keeps you waiting for an hour to answer any of your queries, even if it be as simple a question as sharing the fee structure.

2. The school tour is given by a person who himself is not aware of anything.

3. Cluttered classrooms, no smartboards.

4. Stinking washrooms.

5. Indian Music Room has just one harmonium and one Casio.

6. Western Music Room has just one Guitar and one drum. I wonder how the class of about 30 students will learn from this single instrument. Does this mean that children are not allowed to handle the instruments. Is it the teacher only who handles the instument?

7. School Buses - No teachers in school buses, even for Pre-nursery and Nursery kids. Only maids are there in Buses.

8. Poorly maintained playground. It just has Basketball and Football.

9. Swimming pool is big. But swimming is only class 3rd onwards.

10. Every classroom has an AC. But there is insufficient backup, hence AC's do not work when there is no electricity. And there is hardly electricity in Noida..

11. Every class has approx 30 kids. 2 teachers and 1 maid in Pre-nursery and Nursery.

12. Exorbitant Fee though very poor infrastructure.

These are my views. Please share your feedback and views on this.

Vikas,

Teachers should be the first preference while picking the school, I am though not very convinced with their fee structure. What is your feedback on the board which they teach. ICSE? I have heard that ICSE has more subjects to study as compared to CBSE & scoring is much tougher.

Even I am not too convinced about the fees but then it is more to do with the brand and legacy.

ICSE as a board is much better than CBSE as it is a more rounded curriculum. I am a CBSE product while my younger brother has passed out from an ICSE school and I could see the difference. Scoring is not an issue in ICSE board, the only subject where getting high score is a problem is English. The quality of English being taught in ISCE board is much much higher than what we have it in CBSE board and its vice versa for Hindi (CBSE Hindi tougher than ICSE Hindi). ICSE English helps develop a better understanding of language ( not spoken).

Sure. Thanks. Probably will publish once I finalize the school for my daughter.

Hi All

Pros  n Cons

As well as i am aware

1 All Medical and Eng Test are set by CBSE board

2 ICSE students have to study extra in 12th

3 Yes ICSE has better english

4 Many big schools changed from ICSE to CBSE in last 25 years

5 If ICSE is better why only one school having ICSE in NoIda and few in Gurgaon and Delhi

6 Why  all International schools coming in India  following CBSE only

Hello Savita,

did you finalize? i am looking at the Noida Expressway schools and Amity Noida. Today I got to know good reviews about Gyanshree and so so for TSM. Step by Step will only take pre-nursery so I can't waste 1 year of my child. Thus I am left with TSM, GyanShree, Shiv Nadar, (no Lotus Valley or Pathways for me).

Thanks

Dear parents,

I have a query on TSMS. My child would be less than 3y 6m on April 1 and hence would only be eligible for pre nursery. Do you think that TSMS is worth enough that the child can lose 1 precious year by taking admission in pre-nursery while the child can still be admitted to a nursery in other schools.

I want to understand whether the overall development and grooming of the child would be so towering compared to other schools that taking admission in the school would outweigh the cost of 1 precious year.

I have a same query for Step by Step and Shiv Nadar School as well.

regards

SR

i don't think you should waste one year for TSMS or Shiv Nadar ( still till 10 ..good reviews but has to prove itself)

SBS opens admissions for pre nursery only in oct  not nursery.
