this deadly news came few months back, as many parents were happy to send their child to school for the first time. after this, the wife and mother Mrs. Jyoti Gupta had started a petition on petition.org. for better road safety rules. i am very happy to tell that i also signed the petition and now we have won. i recieved this e-mail from Mrs. Jyoti Gupta.

I have some great news for you.

The Transport Minister, Nitin Gadkari, has heard our demands. A stronger road traffic law has been drafted and will be introduced in the winter session of the Parliament.

This law has everything we were demanding and will make our roads a lot safer.

Let’s thank Transport Minister, Nitin Gadkari, for being so quick and responsive.

Leave a ‘thank you’ message for him below in the comments section of the petition page. A simple step like this will motivate him and also show that we support him.

I will collect your messages for him as a mark of our appreciation and deliver them to him personally.

Here is a sample text -

Mr. Nitin Gadkari, thank you for drafting the new road safety law. It will make everyone feel safer on Indian roads. We hope that it comes into force soon.

samar, we have achieved a huge milestone. I lost my 3-year-old baby and husband in a road accident. My life will never be the same but my tragedy has resulted in something so positive for the entire country.

I am grateful for your support. Together we can get this new law passed.

Thank you for taking action,

Jyoti Gupta

Dear Parents

Dr Samar

I have shared on my 3 FB pages and Twitter also !!

Sumit sir it is very gracious of you... thanks to everybody for signing...
but the battle is only half won, it will be a success when these stronger road traffic rules will be implemented and people will follow them with sincerity. only then will we be able to stop such untimely deaths of innocent people in road accidents.
my heart bled when i came to know few months back that it was the first day of the school for the girl and her parents were so delighted to send her off, not knowing what was in store for them!!
RIP FATHER AND DAUGHTER...

Dr Samar

I concur with you .

Just another accident - victim OPG School Dwarka 7 year old

A seven-year-old girl was killed when the scooter she was travelling on was hit by a South Delhi Municipal Corporation dumper truck in Dwarka on Wednesday morning. Her 55-year-old grandfather, who was riding the two-wheeler, also sustained minor injuries in the accident.

The mishap happened close to OPG School in Dwarka Sector-17 where the deceased, Ishani Sharma alias Shan, was enrolled in Class I. The errant driver managed to flee the spot but was later nabbed.

Really Sad .

Yes most devastating loss.

what to talk about private drivers when even govt. employed people don't know how To drive safely!!! it is the licensing system which is at fault that gives license without even the presence of the person let alone to test him/her to drive??? bribery in this system is killing innocent children and people on road...and even modi govt. is sleeping after giving fake promises to fight corruption!!
RIP LIL GIRL...

I concur with you.
