Call for document verification

I just got call from one school for document verification , does that mean after verification they can ask us to pay fees within 1 or 2 days ??? that is even before the first list is published .

I got call from Abhinav global, JM international & Sam international.

Each of them asked for document verification , i am not sure why this is done even when first list is out.

Got a communication from St. Thomas for document verification, can someone tell what is intent for this as they have called all the students who obtained certain points.
