Can someone please tell me some information regarding NIBS and DPS?

for NIBS i know it provides good elementary education (uptill 3rd) but for higher classes , say grade 6 , they are not good...is that true?

I and my husband have different views , He is pro DPS , I want to understand whats the difference between NIBS and DPS?

I am looking for a balanced school, academics and extra curricular, a school which basically aims for play and learn concept rather than rote learning like we all have faced

DPS . Main focus is on Academics  (like traditional schools)

NIBS focus on Holistic Development

See reviews below

Or leave your query for parents whose wards are studying in NIBS group and also read their reviews

Hello Esha

--> Nibs does provide good elementary education. The approach is towards learning by doing. Conceptual learning is the primary focus. It solely depends on parents what they want in higher classes. Many parents and schools just focus on studies and marks as this is the basis of our education system but this does not mean Nibs is lacking somewhere in higher classes. Its a new school if you compare it to DPS.
-->Both follow different teaching approach so its not fair to compare.

Few comparison points which I am aware of are as follows:

--> Class strength is less in Nibs as compared to DPS.
--> Individual Attention is more in Nibs.
--> DPS has bigger ground.
--> Nibs Fee structure is very high.
--> DPS is an old brand and has its own value.
--> Equal opportunity to every kid in Nibs. (as strength is less)
--> Transport is poor in Nibs
--> DPS class 10th and 12th result is good as compared to Nibs

This is really helpful and detailed , thanks a lot. What u as a parent have done if u would have been at my place?

Esha you will find parents who are either very happy with their current school or are not at all satisfied. For some DPS is good for some it is not good. For some Nibs is good and some will say its not worth it. Every school has its positives and negative.

So I would suggest focus on top 7 or 8 schools of Dwarka and not on one school. In the end it all depends on how much effort you are putting with your kid.

U r right,
Thanks Sakshi and Madhavi , this has helped alot , also if you can let me know when does this pressure of academics start ?

In DPS mainly after 5th grade.

Esha,I have few friends whose children are going to Nirmal Bhartia and they are very happy with overall growth of their children.

Thank u dr Juhi and Sakshi , helpful for me

Welcome.

Nicely explained

Before even considering DPS think about following points :

Is any of the Parent Alumni of DPS..?

Is any sibling (blood relation) of applicant already studying in DPS..?

Do you stay closer to school..?

If answer to all or >2 the question is no, then dont waste time in considering DPS...except if you have some good links or good amount of money for Mgmt seat.

Sorry this is heartbreaking but true based on my personal experience.
