out of these i have already done at-least 40! whenever i come across a good story book with good big pictures in it, i buy it and then he tells us the story by looking at the pics and then we read for him. we play with play-doh letters. he loves the letter song video, he picks up the books and tells us to read for him. his imaginiation has turned so wild and vivid that now at bedtime he tells us the stories, combining all the previously told stories and we enjoy them and sometimes record them as well!!
i have downloaded only educational letter and number games in my phone (i give him phone only in KID MODE in which he can access only the games and app which are allowed to him) and he plays them and have learned a lot from them...

now i know i am on the right track, thanks to this article!

@risha... rightly said maam..

We all should encourage kids to read books....and for this we have to start it from our selves

Very nice article.
My 3.4 years old daughter is very fond of books, may be because we ( I and my hubby) are book lovers. We have small library of fiction and non fiction books. Now she has got small cupboard full of books. Her favourite bedtime stories are The Three Billy goats (her father reads for her every night) and Cinderella n Goldilocks (I read for her before her afternoon nap). She also likes gadgets like other kids of this generation but I think we have this book reading culture in our home that is why she herself takes out books from her cupboard and says" maama let's read this book" :)

Dear All

i know many parents ,who just buy books for kids as gifts and Lathaaji rightly said that is the best way to enhance vocab and knowledge.

thanx lathaa maam,

reading books is very important in this age of ever growing technology where kids are more infatuated by new gadgets and are not into reading books.

your suggesting of gifting books as b'day present is also very appreciable...
