Shameless demonstration of power by schools

Vasant Valley has done admissions in a very opaque way and has given admission to only rich and powerful without even bothering to ask parents about details. Is there a legal recourse? I want to take them to court

the same has been done by Gyan Bharati Saket. My husband being an alumni and my child being a girl child and we living within 1 km of the school area we have not got admission, where a boy who belongs to a business class got admission even when his name was not their in the first and second lists. The schools in delhi give admissions to only those with connections , power or money or either to EWS. Middle class or so called working class people suffer.

this is the case with all the schools. The first list was transparent post that all admissions have happened with the power of money and connections.

I have google searched each and every parent on the list of kids that got it...musician's grandchildren, Dr Trehan's grandson, Timsy Anand's kid, Muhammad Kaif's son...the list goes on. Very interesting. I guess we really dont want our kids to truely study in that environment so whats done is done. Lesson to be learnt for future applicants

Vaibhav they were only looking at the net worth of parents. All children on the list belong to rich parents

I had also applied to Vasant Valley and stay in Vasant Kunj. We also just got 35 points in spite of having several international publications and patents which were completely ignored and were worth zero points on proven track record of parents. I also sent school an email which (as expected) wasn't answered. School's point allocation is totally random and without any clear logic. And I am sure my case is not the only such case.

Absolutely I agree there is another anomaly in the list Ansh Sareen son of Neeraj sareen. He has two applications submitted on one application he has got 35 marks and on another 48. There is no way marks can add upto 48 and since I know the family personally I am pretty confident that the school has done admission on the basis of the money parents have and everything else is just an eyewash

dear pallavi

this is a copy of a mail i sent to sakshi

please look at the first two names on the vasant valley list . they are abir ali and zohan ali  sons of ayan ali son of  sarod maestro amjad ali . they have 60 points(highest) so in addition to  getting points for sitar (no national awards), the parents are apparently olympic level national athletes ,stay in vasant kunj and are national awardees in other arts apart from music enabling them to get the full points in parental qualification category

Another example of the schools flouting norms for general category admissions ??

Ok Great! I am launching a complaint. There is one particular student who is appearing twice in their list. Apparently his parents submitted the form twice and got 35 mark and in one has got 48 marks and is also selected for admission. I have written email to school but have received no response.
