Nursery Admissions in Delhi NCR 2024-25

Admission Dates | Admission Criteria | Compare schools | Fee Details

Below is my feedback on the school -

1. The receptionist keeps you waiting for an hour to answer any of your queries, even if it be as simple a question as sharing the fee structure.

2. The school tour is given by a person who himself is not aware of anything.

3. Cluttered classrooms, no smartboards.

4. Stinking washrooms.

5. Indian Music Room has just one harmonium and one Casio.

6. Western Music Room has just one Guitar and one drum. I wonder how the class of about 30 students will learn from this single instrument. Does this mean that children are not allowed to handle the instruments. Is it the teacher only who handles the instument?

7. School Buses - No teachers in school buses, even for Pre-nursery and Nursery kids. Only maids are there in Buses.

8. Poorly maintained playground. It just has Basketball and Football.

9. Swimming pool is big. But swimming is only class 3rd onwards.

10. Every classroom has an AC. But there is insufficient backup, hence AC's do not work when there is no electricity. And there is hardly electricity in Noida..

11. Every class has approx 30 kids. 2 teachers and 1 maid in Pre-nursery and Nursery.

12. Exorbitant Fee though very poor infrastructure.

These are my views. Please share your feedback and views on this.

Hey Richa!

Which school is your preferred among new age schools?

Please also tell what made you choose that school..

Dr Anupama Bisaria

Anupama, School selection would be primarily depend on your personal preference & distance. As per my research and  interactions, I have listed preferences for Noida:

1. DPS, AMITY, Somerville, Apeejay, & Father Agnel have very good academic reputation & are aggressive.

2. For Overall development inclusive of fine arts and sports: AMITY , DPS, Mayoor, Kothari,

3. Higher Fees School with good infrastructure & academics: Step-byStep, Lotus Valley, Pathways.

Thanks!

Hi Anupama..

As per my research and interaction, my preferences are -

Kothari - Till class XII, Good academics and extra curriculars both, Good infra

Mayoor - Overall development

Gyanshree - Good infra, Good Sports and extra curricular, Seems promising

Genesis Global - Excellent infra, Overall development

I am still researching other schools, so will share later.. :)

Thanks!

My suggestion based on my research for last two years and parents feedback. This is for new age school only

Step by Step > Shiv Nadar >= Shriram Millennium > DPS Expressway > Genesis > GIIS > Kothari

Step by Step - only have admission in pre-nursery

LVIS - very bad personal experience. Also feedback of other parents is very negative.

Pathways - again very negative feedback

I agree with you, Richa. Here are my observations. My ward has been selected for Nursery admission for 2016-2017 though I have listed observations:

1. Be ready to spend atleast 2.3 to 2.5 lakhs a year. Break up is here:

Orientation charges 50,000 annual

Care Fund 10000 refundable annual

Annual charges: 36,300 per annum

tution fee (qtrly) : 27,825

Activity Fee (qtrly) : 5,115

IT & LAB fee: (qtrly) : 1,365

Scholarship (qtrly): 900

PSA Subscription: Annual : 240

Transport : 35000 to 42000 per annum depending on distance.

2. Receptionist is really rude and weird. She is absolutely clueless, on parent management. For small tasks like form submission, she will make you wait for hours.

3. I didn't find the infrastructure in line with the fee which they are charging. Swiming pool is the only thing which was upto the mark. Ground, facilities & staff is also not very apealing.

4. TSMS & Shiv Nadar both are little interior's of Express Way, suitable for people staying near by.

May be for their Gurgaon branch, they would be the best, but my experience with Noida has been really unfruitful. I have dropped her out and I am considering rest of the schools.

You can write to me savita22in@gmail.com in case of questions regarding TSMS.

I have had a very nice experience in TSMS. The only small issue is infra and that also mostly related to sports facilities. It has one of the most experienced top notch faculty in all Noida schools other than SBS and this is what impressed me the most. It has all the things which the core Shriram school has. It has tied up with Educomp (Millenium) only for infrastructure as it did not have a decent location over here. The management, curriculum and teachers are all managed by Shriram group. Also almost 30% teachers over here have been tranferred either from Shriram Delhi and Gurgaon. Even the current vice principal has been transferred from the Gurgaon branch.

There are 2 kids of my friends who have been going to TSMS for the last 3 years and I can see the difference. There is no flashy stuff in the school and it keeps the kids grounded.

The one and only issue is the high fee structure but then you need to pay for quality and brand.

 Ravi

Can you confirm source of info

"Also almost 30% teachers over here have been tranfered either from Shriram Delhi and Gurgaon."

I got mail from parents to authenticate as one parent also heard n posted the same yesterday on forum one parent did not agree as her kids is studying in this school.

Can you name the TEACHERS

Ravi, Brand & Standard need to be managed by school staff. May be their teachers are maintaining the education standards, but that anyways has to be maintained by tuition or extra classes at later stage of school life. But, their infra is not inline with fee which they are charging. Better school which can keep kids grounded and are not into paparrazi, Somerville, Apeejay, DPS. I would prefer those.

Anyways, above is my personal observations to give this community a holistic view of schools.

I don't know whether you have interacted with any parents of kids studying there.

Whatever interaction I had with different parents ( both junior and senior classes), all of them said that they do not have tution for their kids as it in not required.

But yes, I agree that every one has his or her own way of looking at things as well as the priorities.

I have a kid studying in Shriram Millennium (moved from Lotus Valley last year). The reason we moved to Shriram Millennium is a) very good and considerate faculty b) very open to complaints and suggestions. I agree with you that infra is not great compare to other schools (LVIs, Shiv Nadar, Step by step etc) but it is more than enough. What is the point of having good infrastructure if the teachers are not good?

The nursey and pre-nursery has less than 25 kids per class. The AC of all the classes work on back-up the open spaces doesn't. Maid is compulsory but they also try to have a teacher in nursery and pre-nursery buses. None of the school have compulsory teacher in buses. The fees are high as teacher are paid well. Just check the quality of teacher in LVIS and you will realize.

The best thing about school is that they have a "student first" policy and they really take care to provide a very healthy environment. The teachers in pre-nursery and nursery are very good and welcome kids with hugs and kisses. The principal is always reachable for any issues you have and act instantly. My experience with LVIS was very bad where principal doesn't want to listen anything negative about the teachers and would start blaming 4 year old kids. The best way to decide on school is to get parents feedback. I haven't met a single parent complaining about Shriram and there will be hardly any parent happy with LVIS.  That said I think Step by Step and Shiv Nadar are equally good in terms of parent feedback and teacher reputation. So you wouldn't go wrong by choosing one of these three (Step by Step, Shiv Nadar, Shriram Millennium).
