Hope Gurgaon education department with consider and come out with new admission policy in line with RTE guidelines.

Mr Vohra has been fighting .Last year Suncity school gave in writing that it will follow RTE after Mr Vohra complaint.

Even in Delhi schools have flouted rules and guidelines by admitting children who were not in the lists. THERE SHOULD BE PIL FOR INQUIRING THE LIST DISPLAYED AND COMPARING WITH THE ATTENDANCE REGISTERS IN ALL SCHOOLS for nursery classes. They have made the process of lottery a mockery. Why not the schools displaying list of admitted students for nursery in spite of instructions from the DoE?

Yes we got many complaints regarding the same and DOE did not not take any action .

This has been one of cronic problem for education system in India. We all face these problems while admissions still feel helpless.
There is a need of being together and try to outdo these issues.For this to happen all our parents will have to come forward.

Yes as you saw last year after admission , no one come in open .
Parents feel their wards might be victimised.
But the problem cannot be solved till all the parents get united as handful of parents wont make any impact.

I do agree that theres already a huge mess which v all want to be cleaned but for sure that neither government agencies nor schools will find the solution.
We all need to find a solution. First of all both types of parents I.e. Whose kids have got admission n children who r yet to get admission need to come together. Parents should stop favouring high profile schools. One should understand that people like Mr.Vohra can show the way n guide how to fight against these issues, but ultimately its us who need to fight for rights of our children. Moreover as a guidance I would request all parents to be prepared with proper planning for their kids admission from now itself.

Today the only thing "policy" does is shifts the power from one set of hands to the other so that those hands can then flout it. Delhi has billion lines of policy on every stage of education, but it doesn't stop the people in power from making the parents' life hell.
My bitter realization is that when the power lies in the hands of these schools, if they flout it long enough they will perish from sought after to average to discarded institutions. When the power is in in the hands of the government or the other non accountable government machinery like the DOE, the flouting can potentially go on endlessly.

I strongly feel that instead of draw of lots of similar points application it should 1st come 1st serve..... .. Distance points should be further segregated from nearest to farthest..... This year was very disappointing!!!!!!!
i really really strongly feel something should be done immediately! " draw of lots was a mess" ! I staying in vasant kunj ..unable to get kids admission any school here !! Though we were among the 1st few ones to submit form enthusiastically!! Obviously one has to be alert .. Why don't we compare the same with train, air tickets!!!!!. Are they waiting for draw of lots before departure?..though too have quotas & segregate the seats accordingly.. & swiftly it works out!! . I just hope they disappoint in coming years..it all becomes better!
