Same was the case with BBPS dwarka their distance criteria was 0-3,3-5, 5-7 and the DOL was done for 80 pointers, which would be 0-3 kms candidates. surprisingly they had about 1300 kids in less than 3 km radius.
on the other hand DPS's distance criteria is 0-15 kms. so even if you share your compound with the school, you wont get selected unless you are a sibling or alumni.
This year schools ve had some of the craziest criteria, like points for vegetarians, national achievers. .
DOE needs to intervene and create a common criteria.
Shivshankari, which school had points for veg? I am but didn't come across any such school :(
I don't remember the name now, but one school did give 10 points each for being vegetarian, non smoker n teetotaler.
It was even mentioned in the NDTV hum log debate. Mr vohra was also present in that show.
I think it was a Jain school.
I too am a vegetarian, non -smoker, teetotaler. But it is a ridiculous thing to give points for.
And who is going to certify that?? SDM or .. ?
A very unique point system..
