Nursery admissions for next year begin today - Times of India Gurgaon - 20 July 2015
GURGAON: Admission season to nursery classes in city schools is off to an early start, with Delhi Public School, Sushant Lok, opening its admission window from Monday.
Over 45 prominent schools will follow suit on July 25, when they take part in a two-day annual school exhibition, Schoolex. The event is organized to apprise parents of procedures to follow while seeking admissions. Schools taking part in the event will also roll their admission process then. "Unlike in Delhi, where admissions will open in January next year, they happen way early in Gurgaon. In fact, this time, the process has advanced by a month," said Sumit Vohra, founder of a virtual platform for admission seekers in NCR schools.
"Calling for next year's admissions in July is something new. It took everyone by surprise when a popular school announced on its website on July 9 that it would release its advertisement in national newspapers on August 1. Even sought-after schools are in a hurry to book students before they go to the trendy international schools," he adds.
Schoolex organizers said their decision to organize the exhibition early was deliberate. "Last year, we held the event on August 9 and 10, by which time some participating schools had already opened their admission process. So, we thought we should advance our event to maintain uniformity among participants," said Mugdha Arora, co-founder of Schoolex.
Most of the schools that are not participating in the exhibition would also announce admissions around the same time. "We will not participate in the exhibition this time, but will launch the admission process from August 1," said Savinder Kaur Rooprai, headmistress of Salwan Public School, Sector 15.

Established sought after school don't start admissions for KG (most of them ) but (few of them might open) and new age schools start Kg with nursery visit schoolex exhibition on 25-26 July

We have seen few schools like dps sushant lok closing admissions in exhibition only .some new schools start registration n do on spot admissions also.

On what basis does the dps shushant lok does admission. Is it lottery system or first come first basis

Getting admission in DPS sushant lok is not tough as it promotes kids from its play school apple blossom .we saw them twice doing admission in 2 phases . so better confirm with schools (They are not transparent and not so sought after) Keep changing the rules .sometime do it in exhibition and close it and do lottery also some times.
Yes DPS sec 45 admission is tough and does lottery.
