My son has not started holding pencil properly, will it b a issue as he is 3+ and I had filled forms of schools

Hey friends,

I have a question other then schools rating

My son is turning 3 next month i.e in march, so i had applied for schools in dwarka and want his admission this year only.

My issue is he dont hold the pencil properly and dont write even 1.

Will it be a problem after he get admission in ranking schools and start studies

In oral he is good, he had learned number of poems, 1 to 10,  A to Z and shy in front of others to sing all this

WILL IT B A ISSUE OR SCHOOLS WILL TEACH ACCORDINGLY??

WHICH SCHOOLS SHOULD I PREFER, AS I HAD ALREADY FILLED FORMS OF MANY??

It will not be a issue. School teach at tgeir own pace. Every child starts doing once they start formal schooling. So dint worry. Go ahead all the best.

Hi, I understand.....

My son  is 3.5 years already and he also cant hold pencil properly still yet.... so dont loose your heart...every child is different...we just need to keep them practicing everyday....:)

His play school and I both are doing tracing at this time.....and I am not pushing him for anyhting....

My son is surely getting better at tracing (With crayons and thick sketch pens) and  I am sure he will pick up , a little later than the other kids of his age group  but.....its ok......As far as I know, in Nursery, they (Many good schools) start with cryons and then tracing..... So dont worry :)

@Alka Gupta. Dont take any tension school will teach him regarding this. Its not an issue just enroll in the school you desire. So just relax. It an general issue that every child facing in starting as time exceeds he will learn.

All children at that age are same don't worry all schools will teach hm and by 4 u shall see the difference

Hi Alka... As such it is not a issue, except that - the schools would ask you to work on his grip etc at home. My son, when he started Nursery, had similar issue. While in school, and at home we were trying to teach him the traditional grip - he wasn't comfortable with that, and hence was unable to write the way we were teaching him. We subsequently realized that our son had a different style of gripping the pencil, and when we allowed him to use that grip - he wrote / colored very well. We then had to explain to his teacher also, that his style of gripping is different, and requested the class teacher to allow that style.

Every child has a different learning curve. Some learn writing quickly but have issues with orals, while some learn orals quickly, and take time with writing.

Don't worry.

Good luck for your school search..

thanks all of u for removing my doubt

it really encouraged me

thanks
