Dear Fellow parents and Moderators,
Thanks to the help and information from the moderators and parents in this forum during the nursery admission session. I got my son registered in the Ramjas School , RKP first. After a month of classes at Ramjas got a call from St. Paul's School, Hauz Khas. Till then the job of making, a very happy toddler who used to enjoy his play school and little learning a lot , to go to school happily was a herculean task. Everyday he was scared to go to the class , scared of the class teacher. What I learnt from my lil one almost everyday was the class teacher was shouting and verbally abusing but never thought she will hit. Slowly my son was so scared that he used to get nightmares and could not sleep for nights just coz of the thought of going to school that used to scare him. Guess it was God's answer to the little one's prayer we got him into St. Paul's school. Now after almost 3 months of leaving Ramjas he told me during a sleep-time chitchat that he was being hit by the teacher. I was shocked to learn this. And a toddler who was so scared then and now have no relation to that particular school, have no valid reason to manipulate and make stories. I had learnt from another parent whose son is now in Std 1 and earlier was in the same teacher's class that she does hit a lot. But I cud not believe and my husband counselled me saying dont be judgmental and it must be one of a situation. Now I feel its not one of a situation but its her nature and attitude.
Requesting parents and moderators to help me know how can I make the school or the administration take action against the teacher. Though my son is not related to Ramjas and has nothing to do with the teacher but still I am worrying about those many little lives who are in that class and must be getting abused by her just like that. I agree that toddlers are difficult to manage but I see other teachers who do shout but dont abuse never ever physically.
Look forward to hear from the members and moderators about solutions.
Best Regards
Monalisa

Yes ..u muse meet the principal all they cannot hit d kid and can be punished als0 as it is an offence
Dear Monalisa,
If you are sure that your kid was not dealt properly by the school teacher, then you should be writing an email/letter to the school principal asking about keeping a check on teacher. School can follow different means of keeping a check like monitoring through non visible cameras etc. and then can take suitable action. If you have realized this problem, then I am sure that some or the other parent would also have complained about that particular teacher. You can mention in your email/letter that you would like to have a written reply as to what school has done in this regard. You should ask the school to take necessary action and then get back to you with their findings and actions. You also also mention in your email that if you find school not handling this issue properly, then you can write a letter to the Directorate of education and other higher authorities. This will force school to do a investigation properly.
Yes, you may or may not get a reasonable response but this will definitely open the eyes of school management and at least they will definitely have a word with the concerned teacher and so this is definitely going to help the little ones who are already studying in that school.
So i encourage you to take this step. Let me know if i can help you more on this.
Thanks
Dear Monalisa,
I'm also a mother of two toddlers and was shocked to read your post.
You must write to the Principal of the school and remind him that capital punishment in schools is an offence under Indian Penal Code. Usually the teachers think that parents are an ignorant lot. So they need to be reminded and told that we are not ignorant, at least not where the rights of our kids are involved.
In case the Principal does not take appropriate action and reply in writing, you can approach Directorate as well as the police.
Go ahead if no action taken Mr Vohra will help n take matter with higher authorities .
