Sakshi,
Today we attended the school tour for Suncity.
We were told by school mgmt that the criteria for selection is First Come First Serve and then based on point system given on the website (for distance, sibling and girl child).
Given all, this I will like to ask how difficult or easy is it to get admission to Suncity from the past years' experience.
Keeping in mind.
1. I have a daughter for whom we are seeking admission
2. We live near by in Sector -56
3. We filled the forms the very next day they opened for registration
TIA...
Alok
It depends on points you get
Generally sought after and was not easy till last year
As now lot of competition in Gurgaon schools so FCFS (so cannot say this year)
Even among most sought after schools like Scottish High changed admission criteria last year when they overhyped admission system backfired.
Yes I do agree and they clearly mentioned that it is FCFS + Points based.
I have also read in this forum that generally people living near by do get admission there. Also that they are known for high fees and increments year on year.
Pls. suggest a school which is a midway between conventional schools(DPS) and progressive schools (Heritage, shikshantar, shriram).
I am considering Lotus valley and MRIS ...pls. suggest.
Manmeet
Both are sought after .
LVIS is like DPS plus activities .
MRIS focuses on holistic growth and academics .
Rest you can talk to parents of both the schools as many found LVIS over hyped and principal / staff rude .
Rest final call is yours .
Lotus Valley is similar to DPS with some extra activities.
Thank u so much Sakshi, but shriram is icse, which i m not not interested... actually m not a believer of no uniform.
Manmeet
As Alka posted above thats the feedback back coming from last 2-3 years LVIS is more of academics plus activities
Better talk to parents at the time of disbursal of LV to get clear picture
Ok thanks Alka and Sakshi.. actually I already had a positive feedback from MRIS parent...so is there any school which takes care of academics plus life skills too... actually m not v ok with idea of no uniform, extended school hours, less discipline like in progressive schools....
Manmeet
Pls see my link given to you in above post( sought after).
