Is it mandatory to have name of child in DOB certificate ?

Is it mandatory to have name of child specified in DOB cerficate for Nursery admissions?

I have name field left empty but name of mother/father and address correctly specified in the Date of Birth certificate issued by East MCD, but do have Aadhaar card and Passport of my kid with his name mentioned.

Better get it printed on BC as many school ask for it.You can give application and required documents at the issuing authority.

Thanks a lot maam, sure, I will apply for it, but meanwhile, shall I go ahead and use existing Birth Certificate copy/Aadhaar card copy for applying to schools (where hard copy needed), since getting name printed on the Birth Certificate may take 2 weeks or so?

Yes

As BC original copy is required at the time of confirm admission n also you have copy of Aadhar

Dear Deepak ,

I was in same pair of shoe, Last week without name BC and Without Aadhar, You can get BC with name on Same date just request and update the authority for the reason , usually staff does it for extra 100-200 bucks...I got it done recently got it within 15 mins. My advice will be to get it updated and then submit don't give schools any reason to reject form.

Between what are you doing with Aadhar no.? did you check with schools after the notice that aadhar is not mandatory?

@Rohit, I have my kid's Aadhaar ready with me,. And Yes, I went to MCD office and submitted documents for name addition. Staff there told to check and print today evening and that it's as good as original, will try in night. How you got it physically or online?
