I think what schools are doing is that they are calling people who have applied from far away locations from their schools. They are asking them for fees as they know many of them will deposit the fees but they will not join if they got admission in a nearby school from their house. In this way schools will offer the same seat to other people and get more fees from the same seat. This is what schools are doing

Hi Rajat I stay at Rohini and got call from Modern Pitampura (Deepali) also as we got selected in both so Abhinav can also confirm where does he stays. I have applied in other Pitampura and Rohini Schools also but after seeing Modern Kundli have finally decided finally to go for it without waiting for other schools and yes other schools have not started calling.

Mitali, if your name comes in any good school of Rohini in first list. Then you will have to think again if you want to send your kid to nearby school. Will modern return your money if you choose not to go there. Have you discussed that with modern school ?

Rajat, Modern Kundli school bus comes near our house and many of our family friends children are already going from Pitampura,Ashok Vihar and other areas as school bus covering all areas.
So this was our target school from Day 1.
No we don't want to you change, you just visit the school once then you will get my point.

I got a call from Sapling Paschim Vihar on Last Friday and called on Monday for verification of documents.
I went there and they just checked out the original documents and showed us the school infrastructure.
It was all fine there.

I visited the Sapling PV School this Monday. They just verified the documents and asked us to wait for 15 Feb, the day final list will be out. No demands from the school to us.

As Rajat said they are calling parents who are located far. We cannot conclude this because I got call for verification from schools within 3 km
All process is so complicated and not streamlined so just wait

which one we should choose from, if we have option , an average school which is located nearby which will give time to kids to do something extra or best school which is far away which will have relatively more travel time ?

Sachin, this is a very good question. On one hand there are famous traditional schools with average fees of 5-7K per month, on the other hand there are new age schools with average fees of 12-15K with fully A.C buildings and other facilities.
It's very difficult to answer that if there is any value addition by sending your child to costly schools or it doesn't make any difference at this age, atleast till the kid reaches 4th or 5th class
