Comparison between GD Salwan and Ambience public school?

Ambience public school was taken over by Ambience Chain 5-6 yrs back.( Hill Grove School earlier).So more of Glamour is there and they have to prove themself.

Thanks Sakshi, i was looking at 2017 ratings and Ambience was ranked 20 spots above G D Sawan. Thanks for helping, I have booked my seat in GDS :)

Don' t go as per surveys.As most are paid, incomplete or manipulated as schools stated 3-4 years back come in top 10 city wise or in top 50 in India.

In case anyone is intrested to know i can prove just by one point why they are not correct.

FATHER AGNEL SCHOOL

Fee structure has been posted on thread Fee Structure of South Delhi Schools.

This is the only school (out of 24) in which our kid's name was shortlisted and has been selected after document verification & interview.

Other than this school, we not been selected / waitlisted in any other school.

The school has taken Rs. 200/- in cash as Form Fee without giving any receipt.

They've asked for Rs.26,500/- in name of various charges via Demand Draft.

This is most likely Capitation fee / donation.

They have asked it to deposit it by 21-Feb-2018.

We did not ask for fee refund policy as we were skeptical of ruining chances of our kid's admission if we asked.

When asked about FY:2018-19 (next session) fee, they said that they will tell in April 2018 about it.

Sorry to say but I did not get a positive reply when posted the same query on aforementioned thread.

It has left us with more questions than answers.

Should we deposit the capitation fee or should we wait for further lists / vacancies from other schools.

Kindly suggest what to do.

Its your call but FAS Delhi is not much sought after. You need to block one seat. These could be one time charges also at the time of admissions taken by many schools.

Thanks Sakshi.

We deposited the said amount on 22-02-2018 and got our child admitted.

We've been given a proper receipt with breakup along with our child's G.R. No.

The Fee Structure of 2017-18 does not mention these charges.

So, this amount (Rs. 26,500/-) most probably is Capitation Fee.

Like I said earlier, this is the only school where our child has been shortlisted. So we're didn't take our chances.

We are, however, in the process of contacting other schools for admission.

If not successful, we'll try again next year for KG admission in different schools.

Regarding refund of admission fee (capitation fee), as I've read views of fellow members with similar situation as ours, we're in the same boat, so that gives us a little solace.

If we get admission in a better school, we'll request & fight for refund of the amount charged.

Till then, fingers crossed.

We are with you in case of any issue in fee refund but it has to be in one month of date of deposit of fees :)

Thanks for the assurance Sakshi.

As I recall, the 2nd list of most schools should be out by 28-Feb.

And 3rd list by 15-March.

So that gives us ample time to file for refund in case we get admission in better school as we deposited the fee on 22-Feb and can file request for refund by 21-March.

Correct me if I'm wrong.
