In other words me! School is a profit making business, why do I pay taxes?

PS one school I went to said - If we are expected to donate old uniforms, books and other items after our kid moves to next class for children who may come under EWS.

Schools have to give new uniforms, books and other items to EWS/DG Parents.

I fail to understand why parents are lashing on schools. At what point of time did we think they will shell out there own money.

The plan is not thought through. No one really thought about who will pay for all this. As always weakest section of economy is crushed (read general), schools have to teach EWS individuals, they wont shell out money and they should not. Govt is not thinking this through.

So what can happen? General gets screwed as always.

Hi Gaurav,

Last year my child got selected under DG category ( Child with special need) in Nursery class. He got in Vasant Valley School.

This school has been transparent with EWS / DG kids.

I have got 2 sets of free uniform however shoes were not included. Similarly we got free winter uniform as well. For Nursery class in Vasant Valley all stationary was free. At the time of admission we just paid a cheque of 250 Rs. I really did not asked the reason why they took this amount.

This year my kid promoted to Kg class and this year the books were not free for us in DG category. I paid 8000 for books.

However for EWS parents they charged half of the cost of the books. I know this because our vegetable vendors kid is also in my child's class so i asked them.

Vasant Valley School also gives 2 meals to all the children and they are free for EWS and DG kids and the same kind of food is served to all children in the school.

Let me know if any other information is needed.
