Documents in support of residential address
A series of documents are being asked by many of the schools like
| 1. | Ration Card/Smart Card issue in the name of parents (Mother/Father having name of child.) |
| 2. | Domicile certificate of child or of his /her parents. |
| 3. | Voter I-Card (EPIC) of any of the parents. |
| 4. | Electricity bill/MTNL telephone bill/Water bill/Passport in the name of any of the parents of the child. |
| 5. | Aadhaar Card/UID Card issued in the name of any of the parents. |
There is no mention of whether any of the document will be accepted. Can anybody please clarify on this? It'd be really helpful

It's school specific. But generally any one of the documents will be considered as a valid document for residence proof. Few schools still ask for Aadhar cards of parents and child.

I want clarification that my daughter stays with my mother as I am working mother. So her pick and drop from school transport will be my mothers home. And m searching schools near my mothers home only so that travel time is not issue. But on address proof documents the address is of my new home. What can be done??

Only Parent's address proof is valid as per DOE.

Hi Sakshi, we have different address in Voter and Aadhaar Card ( the current address) since very recently we moved to a different place. Can you tell if we can produce only Aadhar Card as address proof?

Yes, but some schools would ask for two address proofs, what would you give in addition to Aadhaar.(If you have MTNL bill it will work, even some schools accept Postpaid Mobile bill as second address proof)
