DAV is more focussed towards academics and environment of the school you should check. But staff are well qualified and dedicated. They have 3 languages (Sanskrit  + a foreign language)

My elder son is in DAV pre primary now ( UKG) - the last 2 years have been decent - teachers are attentive and helpful, there are loads of activities and outings for kids( some activities do require parents to scout around for stuff), the teaching pace is good, my son has caught up well without too much of stress.  the class size is almost 40 but each section in nursery has 2 teachers - main class teacher and helping teacher, in addition to the Aayas-  the big positive thing is my son loves going to the school which speaks a lot for the effort the teachers put in. My son has participated in over 15-20 stage performances over the last 2 years - and this has done wonders to his confidence. The focus on english conversation is not very high- but that is something we could manage at home, and my son is able to converse decently in english and hindi.

For me the only negative is the condition of the playground - no grass in the main playground. but for now my kid only plays in the small play area in front of the main building and that is well maintained. The school infra is undergoing a big change with new classes and auditorium being build, and seems the school playground is the next change to happen.

Net net - for the fee that the school charges, they deliver way more. My only comparison with other schools is from the friends in my vicinity- and their feedback regarding the other schools is more or less in line with what i felt at DAV - minus the hefty fee and forced branding

The total quarterly fee is Rs 11010 all inclusive. The transport fee would be over and above this based on the distance.
If I remember right the total fee at the time of admission was around 16000, including the first quarter fee. That was in 2017.

Yes nitesh, academically dav is good and also providing good exposure to the little ones. It is also on no stress policy for the kids in pre primary till date.
It is also offside of the show shaw policy, which i find good about the school as branding only brings burden on parents pocket.
But there is environmental concerns, maybe in future it will resolove but in present scenerio, it is a thing which as a parent i dont like at all.
Like there is no proper management at the time of exit of the little ones. In winter summer or in rain they have to wait in open area, no waiting room, kids have to manage in odd atmosphere. Despite several request even loud voice has no impact on the school management for the same.
In rainy season i have seen many kids get injured while slipping may be because of construction material or mud.
Yes, fee is very reasonable and transport also, but school dress and books are expensive.which can be ignored as well. Because in every school these things we find.
All nd all i have mixed experience, and pros nd cons we find every where for almost every thing. But that exit wala point, at that point I am not at all happy with the school. It is big minus for me because d a v is not a newly launched school. It is much much experienced.
