Agreed.

Though my daughter got shortlisted in MAYO INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL but still i want to point out the system was not at all transparent and parents didn't know anything about the total no. of applicants/ points alloted to each. Also when was the DOL held. They just came out with the final list. Also they have written clearly in their guidelines that fees once deposited will not be refunded which is against the DOE guidelines.

Hello Sir/ Madam
I have two issues:
1st one is regarding EWS/DG category,
I went on edudel website to fill the form for my child falling under OBC(whose name has not appeared in any school DoL except DIS sec23 Dwarka). On the website I found that under my Assembly Constituency i.e. Matiala, my locality name is not there i.e. Pochanpur, however, then I thought I can choose the nearby locality which is Sec23 dwarka. But that is not the case, even my locality is listed under different Assembly Constituency which is Bijwasan showing pochanpur under it, which is wrong.
In this regard I contacted ews/DG helpline number, spoke to pretty madam but she has no clue about such wrong entry and no resolution. So now in case if I apply through correct locality but under wrong constituent assembly, will it not be wrong. Also if address proof if I show voter ID card it contradict with AC mentioned in it. Please guide me & request to raise the issue at appropriate level sumit vohra sir.

2nd Issue is with ML Khanna DAV school, dwarka.
I have applied to their school and under their criteria for marks it is 70 marks for distance upto 5 Km. But they allotted 60 marks to my child and didn't consider my child in draw of lot which was conducted three times for only 70 marks holder children. I contacted their admission coordinator, she confirmed that as pochanpur is within 5 Km your ward should have been considered in DoL if only you would have raised the issue earlier, now that admitting their mistake but said now we can't do anything. They said it was clerical mistake on their part but I should have report them earlier. What I have option now ...please guide

Again Great Work by Mr Vohra.

Parent should unite and post their complaints here.

Hope it Helps !!

Very valid points posted by Shweta I think there be should be only 2 criteria neighbourshood and sibling all other like alumni staff and management quotas should be removed.

nursery students 3 years of age are very small and to make them travel for school long distance is not fair to them.

Government should keep an eye on every school so that every school performs at its best so that there would be no race among parents to get their children in particular school.

I believe fees should be made public upfront for the whole year before charging the 3-4 months advance upon admission as sort of token money ! Parents have no option but to pay the fee to reserve the seat. If the fee structure is made clear at the time of declaration of results, parents can make a decision correctly to pursue or not based on their budget and give chance to other parents in need who desperately need that admission.

I read in this forum that even though child has got shortlisted in 2 -3 schools still the parents are willing to pay 1 - 2 lakhs to get admission in schools of their own choice. As long as parents are willing to pay such heavy donation to schools, they will keep on exploiting them in the name of management quota. We as parents should understand that no one single school is a perfect school for the child but each and every school has its own positive and negative points. Each school has something new and unique to teach to the child. We as parents should stop using our child's school as our status symbol as education is much more above it. If we say no then schools can't ask donation money from us and will be forced to omit management quota.
Soo true

I concur 100%

Soo true m totally agree with richa all parents stop giving donations to schools neighbourhood schools should be given priority for the sake of small children who have to travel long distances .
