While the debate continues on age 3+ or 4+ for nursery admission, I see a section proposing 3.5+ which clearly is also an option and seems somewhat reasonable. Not sure whether HC is considering this as an option at all.

In the interest of time and to reduce the tension around this issue amongst all of us we can have a representative body sent to our Education Minister / Chief Minister to help take a quick decision. Not sure whether this is an option since the matter is with HC now.

All said and done 14th Dec is a bit too late and again who knows whether the decision will be taken on 14th or HC will defer the case for a few more weeks. The admission process in other parts of NCR is already closed.

Vohra sir. Please raise our voice in media so that admissions are not

delayed further

Sangeet - We should all support Mr. Vohra also.  He is ready to fight and has been continuously doing so but help from other parents would really help get things right

 Dear Sangeet/ Narinderji

I  have already raised parents issues with media( regarding delay in admission process) and   parents have to unite if they don't find the guidelines suitable..before admission process begins !!

Yes Sumit

I agree !

Parents need to strategise before it get too late as the same ususal trap is again being laid to exploit.

I think the age as 4+ instead of 3+ for nursery admissions should be directed by Hon'ble HC by Dec 14th so that the parents from lower/middle class families who are waiting since long to cheer up.

Practically thinking it is not possible that there would be any change in the system this year............

We must not close our eyes like a pigeon and think that the cat has gone.

I think no one needs to worry as whatever HC decides, Age criteria will remain 3years because:

Case 1: HC decides age 3 yrs. Admission happen as normal in Nursery.

Case 2: HC decides age 4 yrs. School lobby approach SC with stay order. SC will give Status quo till matter is decided (which will take no less than 2-3 yrs.). Hence, Age remains 3 yrs and admission happen in Nursery.

Case 3: HC gives another date (taarikh pe taarikh :) )and let admission process begin in status quo manner till it decides. Admissions begin for Nursery with age 3 yrs.

So, all parents remain calm and finalize the list of schools you need to apply.

@ nr18

Allow me to revisit the above basic presumptions

Age 4+ has already been ordered by HC in premise of 2007 case. It is a matter of implementation now.

Experts say School lobby is unlikely to approach SC now cos they would have done 4 years back if they were opposed to ganguly recommendations and generically schools are agreeable to age 4+. However there is only reluctance on the implementation and modalities of transition and the time period.

It is noteworthy that in our country implementation of orders is most difficult aspect than even framing/notifying law.

now i have understood why people r looking for lokpal as court is not in position to take any decision... really pain for parents and why its only for Delhi... all other locations admissions r closed for 3+ in nursery..

Dear Mr. Vohra,

We are clearly seeing an unity in opinion on age limit for admission in Nursery. Since last 24 hrs after the HC decision to defer this issue to 14th Dec came out, a lot of parents have voiced their concern on this web. The problem is virtual expression of opinion and unity is not going to help.

We now need to make this a physical representation to govt. The news report says HC has deferred the decision since govt did not do what they were expected to do by 23rd Nov. Clearly there is no assurance that we will have a resolution on 14th Dec. Any further delay on this will only leave lesser time with the school authorities to complete the process and will lead to further complication / corruption and ultimate sufferer will be us (parents).

Mr. Vohra, since you have already gone through all these pains and have some approach with the CM and Education Minister, request you to initiate a formal dialogue with them. You have rightly mentioned about unity of parents. All of us now have to agree to be behind Mr. Vohra to make a physical representation to the govt which means we have to make ourselves available to meet up as and when required and requested by Mr. Vohra. The idea is to push the govt to do its duty so that we have a resolution by 14th Dec.

Suggestions please???

Dear Rajib

As the case is sub judice ..we cannot change the dates but we  can start a signature campaign against the last year guidelines( but again till the new

guidelines comes how can we protest) !!
