Yes it is important to have your child's name on the birth certificate. You only need to go to MCD and fill up a form stating child's name by attaching a copy of his birth certificate (without name) and submit. They provide you certificate with name within 15 days and per certificate charge is somewhere between Rs. 20-30
Hi wanted to check if parents needs to submit original copy of INCOME CERTIFICATE or schools accept photocopies if applying in more than one school pls advise

Affidavit Format For First Born( Please Crosscheck As Some Are School Specific)
* This affidavit should be on a non-judicial stamp paper of Rs. 10/- and should be duly attested by Notary Public.
I ________________________ S/o_______________________________
R/o__________________________________________________________
do hereby solemnly affirm and declare as under :
1. That I have applied to………………………………………………………………………………………………, New Delhi for admission of my
daughter named _______________________________ in Pre-School/ Nursery
(Nursery) (2012-2013).
2. That I declare that __________________ is our first born Girl child
and she does not have any elder sibling.

VERIFICATION
Verified at Delhi on ________ day of ________ 2011(or 2012) that the contents of my
above affidavit are true and correct to my knowledge and no material facts have
