@Deepak.. In my opinion, order of selection should be
1. Amity - Established institution
2. APJ - Established institution
3. KR Mangalam
4. Birla Vidya Niketan
5. Indian - Vibrant upcoming school.
6. Gyan Bharti
7. Blue Bells

Hi all,

Any news about Ryan Rohini & G.D Goenka(Model Town)? No update available on their website..

Ryan Rohini results posted on or around page 119.

hello mr vohra

u and your team have done a tremendous job in keeping every parent updated through ur website and forum

i have filled up forms in 26 schools of south east delhi  and south west delhi , as i stay in shivalik malviya nagar . i included A grade schools e.g dps(east of kailash and vasant vihar),modern , mothers intl. , amity , birla vidya niketan and also schools like manav bharti , apeejay (saket and sheikh serai), gyan bharti , ryan , tagore , indian , summer fieilds , kalka , pinnacle etc .

my daughter s name is not even in a single waiting list of any school . my daughter is first  born , i dont have sibling points and also alumini points as my school was g h p s punjabi bagh which was very far from our place . thus neighbourhood points were out of question .

i had high hopes with laxman , mothers intl . , gyan bharti , apeejay saket , amity and birla vidya niketan as i had good neighbour hood points .

i myself am educated enough and have given my child the best possible atmosphere at home for her future .

i have no idea what has gone wrong for my child , kindly guide me wat next ?

thanks

Tanmeet ji,

Thanks a ton for your kind words to we parent community and this Forum..

Hard luck for not getting a seat even after having so many applications..

Its a hard fact to accept the outcome you got even after all the toil...but that is the case with many parents..there is neither any fault of you nor of your little kid...it's happening with this wrong policy of DOE year after year when the seats in a handful good schools of Delhi are limited and number of applicant is very high..thus keeping many eligible kids out without any reason...if only could Ganguly committee recommendations be followed in true letter n spirits whereby neighourhood was the strong criteria such problems would not be there..but then new good schools are not spread everywhere across the Delhi ..and with known schools situated in some clusters it becomes hugely impossible to the nearby residents also to secure admission in thus schools by having other criteria of Sibling, Alumni, etc also in tandem.

There are total 1242 Unaided Pvt Schools recognized by DOE in Delhi out of which only 150 plus are established and well known who are getting maximum applications from the parents..there are total 177 schools in South, South East districts but most of we parents file for only for the known 30-40 schools of the area...and maximum competition happen for these schools only..

Some of schools you had applied went for Lucky Draw like Gyan Bharti..and its just sheer chance to get in or out in that case..

I think the option now should be to search for some good nearby school in and around your area..and also wait and see for any 2nd waitlist (if any) in the schools already applied by you..

(you can check for some of these schools like Lalit Mahajan SVM School, Vasant Vihar,Near CPWD Colony; LAL BALHADUR SHASTRI SMARAK (JAVM) SR, SEC. SCHOOL, SEC-3 , R.K .PURAM; ST. JOHNS PUBLIC SCHOOL,Maidan Garhi; BAL NIKETAN PUBLIC SCHOOL, Sangam Vihar; MALVIYA PUBLIC SCHOOL, Malviya Nagar; RAJDHANI PUBLIC SCHOOL, near sainik farms; D ROSES PUBLIC SCHOOL, D block Saket; ST. ANTHONYS SR. SEC SCHOOL, SDA Hauz Khas...these names are just for example..you know better of your surrounding area..)--these are average schools but then one has to secure seats and move ahead to try in sought after schools once vacancy arises there...

Wish you all the best...i'm sure your ward will get a good school in times to come..
