It seems, neighbourhood has no proper weightage in the point system of schools. Even even an alumni of any school is not residing in neighbourhood, he/she gets preference. What is the logic behind giving weightage to a person who has come to Delhi during last one year?
In case, a child is the first child, why not she or he should be given equal points, as available for a sibling to give a level-playing field? What is the rationale of subjective evaluation of the achievements of parents by the schools?
Point system given by DOE, are encouraging population and divorce in India (by giving extra points to sibling & single parents).
Please reserve atleast 5% seats for very general category, where people how have first child(BOY/GIRL) and staying within 1-3 kms of schools can even dream of getting qualified for lucky draws for school admission.
What kind of point system is it ? All seats are given to child with single parents, transferable jobs, sibling and alumni. Normal general category is completely ignored by all.
How do members of DOE admit their children in schools, are they not facing these issue?????
very true...A healthy child from a normal family cannot get admissions, unless he has some physical disability or comes from a broken family.! Sad state
The Govt can be so shameless and careless I could not imagine that. Where are we heading to? A complete blunder...
It now seems that the GENERAL category has been forced to become a minority group...
alumni and sibling points system should not be given weightage as most of the parents might not from that school and who has only one child what abut that, how to score points, too difficult to get admissions in delhi. it seems like next to impossible, means water is very close to you but u cant have that to fulfil ur thirst
