V.V DAV SCHOOL. Not Preferring to Sibling Students in Nursery Admission.

Dear Parents.

Suddenly School Process/Criteria Changed In Delhi/NCR.

When I start my working on school admission of my second son, that time I was confident that V.V.DAV School will give Admission to My Second Son, Because his Sibling is already studying in the same school, So did not waste my time and money for other schools.

When School display his first Selected List and Second Waiting List for lucky draw in which they selected around 55 students in confirm selection and put 170 students in waiting list for lucky draw. I was shocked to see that my son was not in both the list.

That night was sleepless for me and i was totally helpless to see all this.

V.V DAV School management is very good in dealing with parents, But they plan very bad in admission criteria mainly for sibling student, If any school has taken One student from any family then they should admit his brother or sister in the same school. It is very very difficult for the parents to handle two schools at the same time. now a day every school wants parent meeting and lot of other activities in school. It is really difficult to satisfy two schools at same time.

Reason is the criteria defined by the school, they did not given extra point to Sibling student Compare to Alumini and Location.

They just given only 10 points to sibling student.

The only reason i feel that they did not give priority to Sibling Student, this year they given priority to Vikaspuri Students only.

90% selected students in their list are located in vikaspuri, whether it is alumini or sibling.

How many points you have in this school? And how many points of the selected candidates...? Draw the comparison

The School's selection criteria was

School area( vikaspuri)/ other areas : 25/15, Sibling :10, Alumini :15, Transfer CAse :20, Girl Child :10,

Children of War widowa/Martyrs, diplomats/ Armed Forces: 20.

The school has given importance to Transfer and Alumini more than Sibling.

Sibling was given point equal to Girl child.

TRansfer case was treated as job transferable I hope like Indian and BGS school.

So your son was not able to get admission.

You should file a complaint to DOE.

I am not from vikaspuri, I am from Tilak nagar which is almost 3.5 KM Away.

so i got point

15 On Location based

10 On Sibling based

total : 25

I don't want to complaint anyone, Because they are not doing any illegal work.

I just wanted to explain the problem of sibling, every school must give priority to Sibling Students because they already taken one student from the same house.

I think Alumini/Transfer/Girls/Armed forces is not important than Sibling, Sibling should get sufficient point to get admission.

I concur with you about the points system of the school. DOE has given a free hand to schools to fix their own criteria. It is the fault on school which should have given priority for sibling while point allocation and other more points allocated to Transfer is meaningless.
