Form Dates | Admission Criteria | Results | Fee Details | List of All Schools
I would like your comments on this issues. In Europe and America, kids are not allowed to go for study before 3.5 years but in India all it starts at 2 years. It is wise to send such a tender child to school when child could not develop sufficient immune system. I abstained from sending my child from play school for various reasons including cost also which is not necessary. I have come to know that at the time of admission in nursery, schools counts on play school points. Do all the schools play school points criteria. My baby is exceptionally talented and she is grooming well at home in the company of her mother who is house wife.
Kindly suggest me whether I have taken a good decision for not sending my baby to play school.

All of you go through the article in Times of India today that if you train children for potty etc. before 3, you damage their health.
Naresh which page
page no. 21
Thanks
I don't agree with this research on potty training. Europeans also say that Indian style toilets and not good for health, do you agree? Go through the website www.whattoexpect.com. They clearly list out 2 yrs of age when kids are ready to hold their bowel movement for sometime and hence can be potty trained. Besides holding bowel, they also learn to express by this time hence potty training becomes much easier. Europeans and west rely on diapers for entire childhood while we have a different setting here. We have a warm climate where we dont need diapers throughout the day. So I really belive this is not for us.
Speak to Indian grannies or mothers in rural India and they can train the kids pretty early as early as a month. How many times will u find a rural mom carrying around a huge bag full of baby items like we urban moms do.
My kids were potty trained by their nani and dadi when they were 2 months. Not to say that they could say, but when they want to potty, they weep and sit in a peculiar fashion and make weird faces. If you are alert, you can catch the signals and take them to potty. More and more u catch these signals, the better they get at conveying these.
Whattoexpect.com is a commercial site and exactly this is going on here, you missed the point and quoted wrong example.
As regards Indian toliets, ask somebody with a fractured thigh bone to use Indian toilet or for that matter people with knee pains, you have to use english toilet accessories atleast, your disagreement has no substance.
except in a fractured bone case! And I agree with what Manu has written above. Just put in better words. But no way do I agree that early potty training hampers their health which I guess was your point. Useless studies done my foreigners and brainless following of them here.
atleast you have agreed that if somebody has a fractured bone should use English toilet and when the Indian toilet should be used Madam, do you have an answer with all the brains you have, agreed we all are brainless and speaking about foreigners, peep inside your home and see for yourself how many FOREIGNER things you have and which brands you wear and use. First create substance and then debate. There is nothing offending I have written but you surely did and you have no manners whatsoever for a debate. Good bye for now and I assure with your kind of a lady I would never get into a debate.
Naresh Ji... with all regards to you, apologies for you felt offended. But there was no substance in ur posts either. For me I dont need to show the substance over petty issues like this. may be my post was offending, but look for urself and see how easily do you get irked and offended. From my side, no debate any further. Have a good day sir.
The first years last forever.
“The first three years of your child’s life provide all the experiences that organize the most
critical parts of her brain. How it is organized will follow her for the rest of her life. It will impact
how she thinks, how she feels, how she communicates, laughs, loves, and dances. All of
the things that humans do, those root capabilities, are built-in during the first three years of
life.” Bruce Perry, M.D., Ph.D.
“A child’s early years hold the clues to his future behavior as an adult. Society stands to gain or lose, depending on the soundness of mother-baby attachment. La Leche League is committed to the belief that babies and mothers need to be together in the early years. We are convinced that a baby’s needs for his mother’s loving presence is as basic as his need for food.”
So you have taken a best decision.
Benefits of Play School
Nowadays both the parents are going to work and the child cannot be left alone at home. Play Schools helps parents to overcome this difficulty. So they are a boon to working parents.
They help kids fight separation anxiety. Adjust to the environment. Healthy toilet training. Mingle with other kids and develop their social life. A daily routine sets in their lives which would help them adjust to the formal school routine without difficulty. They identify the food they eat and their processions. Learn while they play. So play school should be a place where the kids play and learn with lot of fun and fun activity without any type of pressure or stress.
It is not essential to choose a branded one which collect a huge amount just for 2 hours. I feel just a duration of 3 months in a play school is enough through my experience. It differs to parent to parent but while choosing a play school parents should consider the teacher student ratio and right play method. For admission in Delhi Schools, play school education does not count. According to RTE Act a child cannot be subjected to any type of screening.
