Dear Bij,

I went and saw the presentation/orientation of Shiv nadar school,noida,it looks that they have well laid out plan for the school for future but was not really convinced that they have the experienced staff to handle and deliver what they are promising to parents.Though being from the IT background ,they do talk about retraining of teachers for 80 hrs etc but their staff profile that i saw on the net was from mediocre schools experience.No doubt they have funds to make the school infrastructure excellent but will they be able attract good staff also ?I want your help in this regard.should i put my child in nursery in a school which has more experienced years of running like DPS or Amity or trust the shiv nadar legacy of running great company and enrole my son in shiv nadar school . some help from existing parents will also be good whose children are already in shiv nadar in noida and gurgaon.

Hi Bij,

Do DPS Noida, Bal Bharti School Noida and Vishwa Bharti Noida consider applicants from Indirapuram, Ghaziabad for Nursery?

Dear Sakshi,

I need some clarification on Apeejay Noida. Heard that student teacher ratio is very high. There are as many as 50 students in one class of primary wing and only 1 teacher to manage. Also, they do not provide school transport for nursery and KG students. Can you please help me on this as I feel the school overall curriculam and ranking are good.

Shikha ji,

Apeejay is a long established school with proven credentials. School has very good infrastructure, play grounds, hostel facilities, well trained staff and is churning students with a balanced academics and extracurricular results.

But for we parents it tend to become difficult to compare DPS Noida, Amity Noida, Apeejay & Somerville in parameters of academics, cocurriculars and competence of faculty.

If you see Apeejay Nursery classrooms; they are airy but with old fashioned sitting system. Section strength may vary from 40-50 due to high inflow of students being it a sought after school. Ya one Teacher & maid is there and sometimes another teacher helps in between 2 sections. But the school has been overall good in higher classes.

As per bus facility-Apeejay have private contractors' buses and DTC buses plying in various parts of Noida & East Delhi. For Indirapuram & other non-bus areas they are having private cab arrangements where help can be sought from their transport office.

Similarly DPS Noida & Amity Noida are having their own buses plying in Noida areas but private contractors' buses are available in various routes of Delhi, Indirapuram, Vaishali areas.

Student strength of DPS Noida is around 240 ( 40 kids average in 6 sections from A to F) with 2 trained teachers in each section. Separate Nursery& Prep wing with dedicated headmistress and class rep. Airy classrooms and circular sitting arrangement of kids- with 6-8 kids sitting around one circular table and teachers constantly haing interaction with them.

Amity Noida is having around 14-15 sections with average 40 strength in each section and also having 2 teachers per section. So total strength is around 600. Some Amity Noida students are shifted to Mayur Vihar Ph-1 campus from 1st class as that campus take classes from 1st onwards only.

Can you provide some feedback about Somerville School, Noida? How is the school reputation?

Hi Simriti

 Somerville is a good school. Its in top 10 schools of Noida. What I have go to know from other parents is that it focuses only on Academics and not much on extra curricular.

Simirita ,i will keep it at no 2 after dps noida ( in my perspective) among traditional schools
