dear all
like some other parents in this forum, our kid also got through to Apeejay(booked the seat) and FAS today. my request to you all is to help us decide on selecting the better one.
incidentally, we stay in indirapuram almost opposite across the highway, very near to FAS.
but apeejay authorities are likely to provide transport in indirapuram, going by the greater no of children this year from indirapuram.
we are looking for parameters like education, overall development and brand of the school,
pls provide your views... thanks a lot...

Thanks a lot, M Goswami,
yes we too have noticed that while Apeejay figured in different survey results, FAS was missing from all possible categories(top schools/other good schools/schools to watch out for etc. Academic results, and playgrounds extra curricular activities were other factors considered in favour of Apeejay
we are sure FAS being a convent school will provide the balance of studies and all round development.
as far as distance is concerned, if our child is unable to cope up, will plan to shift nearer to school. lets see.
another round of thanks to all the moderators and all the parents who have continuously shared their feedback to help others,
I am under same condition. Had option of APJ, Somerville International Noida Sec132 and now have option of FAS. I am opting for FAS due to below reasons:
Initially had two option to choose (Till 24th - last payment date at APJ) between APJ and Somerville International - After lot of research, input from play school principal and HT Top 10, last 3-5 year academic result I preferred Somerville International, Sec 132. It is individual choice. In HT rating APJ scores in extra curricular activities/sports. With respect to academic they are doing okie (In last 3 years only one kid scored 95% in 12th). One point which I got from lot of parent/teacher about APJ was it is not doing good since last 3-4 year (since last principal change - NOT AUTHENTICATED SO DO NOT MARK THIS AS VERIFIED FACT). I decided to opt for Somerville International instead of APJ (giving academic and personality development as top priority, second option - as number of sport activity within school - Note most good school provide facility of NCC, Cricket/Football, Music, Drama etc. Schools scoring high on sports provide options as swimming, horse riding etc)
Now post getting call from FAS, I am taking admission in FAS due to
Somerville International Vs FAS - My son was not eligible for DPS Noida or Somerville Noida for this year, hence taking admission in Somerville International might close next year Noida option. FAS has balanced focus on academic and extra curricular activities. Lot of people think why it has not been rated in Noida top 10. Just go and see the rating chart of HT, you will know how have they rated. No wonder school like Step by Step, Amity, Pathways, APJ can afford lot on marketing (see fees they charge from parents), where as FAS quarter fees is less then above schools monthly fee. I have got very good feedback from parent who's kids are in FAS.
My opinion is talk to parent who's kids are studying in respective schools, seek advice of people associated to education sector rather, looking internet rating parameters and schore, last 3-5 year school trend. Rating are to guide us on different parameters. It is parent's call which parameters are of their priority. It is not an easy choice to make.
@ Shishir
A wise decision taken by a wise parent. Valid mantra to fellow parents. I am no way connected to any Noida Schools but in my opinion FAS is leading towards 21st century learning that empowers our kids to achieve great success in this ever-changing globalizing world. Congrats and Best wishes!
Congrats Rupa and all the best.
