New Delhi: Around 2,000 private, recognized schools in the city will start giving application forms for nursery admission from January 1, said education minister Kiran Walia on Thursday.
“Schedule giving other details, including the last date of submission of forms, will be finalized soon. However, I can confirm that the process of giving admission forms will start from J

anuary 1,” said Walia after holding a meeting with senior officials of the department.
The admission process for the 2013-14 session is starting a week later than the earlier session. “We want to give sufficient preparation time to parents. So, the announcement of the dates and the guidelines will be made in advance,” Walia said.
Sources said all schools would follow a uniform schedule. Also the parameters to be adopted by every recognized private unaided school will have to be first approved by the government.
The minister, however, ruled out any possibility of a common admission form for private schools. “I want to categorically add that we would like to give schools their space and have their own individual forms. There won’t be any common admission form,” Walia added.
The concept of a common admission form was introduced last year but only for the economically weaker section for admission to nursery classes in the private unaided school.

Nothing is impossible if Govt. makes a firm decision of introducing common admission form. By giving more space to private schools Govt. has failed to regulate the nursery admission process.

Lathaaji,School lobby is very powerful and common admission forms will stop back door entry and make process transparent.

If they wish to do something for general public then they can implement it forcibly ..nd if they don't nobody can change the process. All is depends on there wish........

Vijay,You are spot on.

Can We plan 1 Common Form for all the School. That would be the best idea.

Amit,That has been rejected by govt.

Sakshi is correct, no body wish to listen general public....hmmm..all want to open back door entry also...there is no transparency in the system...

Rather than pushing for a common admission form which is highly protested by the schools and very unlikely to be passed, the government should have made it mandatory for all schools to upload the forms online on the internet. If all the forms for all the schools are online, atleast us parents would not have to make multiple trips to the schools, one to pick up the form and one to submit it.

i think now its firm up thats the admission forms will start from jan 1 instead of 15th dec .

i donot understand why they take so much deciding for this only .

hopefully this is a final version

@ Amit you are absolutely right.specially for the parents who would be moving to india this year later and planng a trip for the forms thus have very limited time ,online forms would be good option.
