Hi - need advise : is it mandatory to have the name of the child printed on the birth certificate?
regards
Dipankar
Yes if not all few school will ask you for it.
@ Neha jain birth certificate means BC only and not any other docs.
@ Neha Jain, Birth certificate with name of the child issued from Registrar, Birth & Deaths, Record in the Hospital register held by Nurses/Midwifery, Records maintained by Anganwadi & Self declaration of age by the parent/guardian
The above are mentioned docs for EWS category for record of Birth certificates.
Neha, You need to give one affidavit and application for inclusion of name
are u sure they willask for birth cer with name only i have the same but without the name and now no time is left to get the name done on certificate> plz suggest
No one is sure, hence the advice to get one with name on it.
The good thing is that a majority of schools havent been asking for it.
Of course when push comes to shove, you will have to get the certificates with name on it. There are agents outside MCD office who can guide you.
In the worst case I would suggest submit the one you have. You can apply for name addition in the meanwhile. You may submit it later.
Aman, I recently got the name added in the certificate. It doesnt take much time. 1-2 days max. Besides, you have at least 10 days, even if you want to start submitting the forms by 10th of Jan. I would suggest you go for it. Also, dont forget to get multiple copies of the same.
1-2 days max? The usual process takes about a weeks time.
So I would like to believe yours may be an exception case rather than rule. But you make a very good point that most of the schools will have submission deadline almost till Jan 15 which does give parents more time.
