- ADMISSION POLICY FOR PRE-PRIMARY : 2013-14

ADMISSIONS
Admission to Pre-Primary Class of the School is open to all eligible children without any
discrimination of caste, creed, colour, sex, religion or nationality. For being eligible to register for
admission to Pre-Primary Class for the academic session 2013-2014 the child must have completed
the minimum age of 4 years as on 31st March, 2013.
Detailed information with regard to admission of children to Pre-Primary class is given in the
following paras:

The detail of seats available in Pre-Primary Class for the academic session 2013-14 is as follows:
(i) General category seats to be filled as per the
criteria fixed : 162 Seats
(ii) Seats to be filled with children belonging to
EWS/DG category to be selected by draw of lots
in accordance with the RTE-Act, 2009 guidelines : 67 Seats
(iii) Management quota : 40 Seats

Registration Forms :
(i) Registration Forms for General Category children for admission (the criteria for
which has been annexed herewith) to Pre-Primary Class for the academic session
2013-2014 can be purchased from the School Reception Counter in person only on a
payment of Rs.25/- in cash only from 1st January, 2013 to 15th January, 2013
between 9.00 a.m. and 12.00 noon on all working days.

Separate Registration Forms meant for children belonging to EWS/DG Category will
be available free of cost.
In case the number of children who register under EWS/DG Category exceed 67, the
following criteria will be used to choose 67 children;
(a) First preference will be given to children residing within 1 Km from the School.
(b) Second preference will be given to children residing within the distance
between 1 Km and 3 Kms from the School.
(c) Third preference will be given to children residing within the distance between
3 Kms and 6 Kms from the School.
(d) Fourth and last preference will be given to children residing farther than 6 Kms
from the School.

(e) The selections will be made by draw of lots if the number of seats are more
than the available number in each of the distance-wise categories mentioned in
paras (a), (b), (c) & (d) above.
(ii) Please note no other mode of payment will be accepted for the sale of Registration
Forms.
(iii) Further, no requests for dispatch of Registration Forms by post or courier will be
entertained.
(iv) Duly filled up Registration Forms shall be accepted at the School Reception Counter
between 9.00 a.m. and 12.00 noon upto 15th January, 2013 (Last Date).

Fee Structure for the Academic Session 2012-13 was as given hereunder:

(i) Birth Certificate of the child issued by a Municipal Body.
(ii) Proof of residence of the parent(s), viz., Election I. Card, Ration Card.
(iii) Proof of sibling if applicable.
(iv) Proof of alumni if applicable.
(v) Income Certificate issued by SDM in case of children belonging to EWS Category as
per RTE Act, 2009.

CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION TO PRE-PRIMARY: ACADEMIC SESSION 2013-14
(General Quota)
Admission of children to open seats of Pre-Primary Class of this School will be made on the basis
of points secured by them on 100 points scale as detailed below, subject to their completing the age
of 4 years on 31/03/2013 :
(i) Residence Location – 30 Points maximum.
Every child will be awarded between 0 to 30 points depending on the distance of his/her
residence from the School as per the following distance-wise categories:
Distance Range Points
(a) 0 – 3 Kms 30
(b) Above 3 Kms, upto 5 Kms 25
(c) Above 5 Kms, upto 8 Kms 20
(d) Above 8 Kms, upto 10 Kms 15
(e) Above 10 Kms 10
(ii) First Child/Sibling – 20 Points.
If the child for whom the admission is being sought is the first ever child of the parent(s),
he/she shall be awarded 20 points. An attested affidavit on a non judicial stamp paper of
Rs.10/- to this effect will have to be submitted by the parents.
OR
If one or more real brother(s)/sister(s) of the child is/are studying in this School, he/she shall
be awarded 20 points.
No points will be awarded to the rest of the children in this regard.
(iii) School Alumni – 20 Points maximum.
A child will be awarded 20 points if both father and mother are alumni.
In case either parent is alumnus/alumna, 10 points will be awarded to the child.
In case neither father, nor mother is an alumnus/alumna, no points will be awarded.

(iv) Gender – 10 Points.
All girl children will be given an extra 10 points each.
(v) Transfer Cases – 10 Points.
Any child whose parents are in service and have recently been transferred from outstation
shall be awarded 10 points.
(vi) Single Parent – 10 Points.
A child who has single parent because of being divorced/widow/widower/ unmarried, shall
be awarded 10 points.
A Final List of Children selected for admission will be drawn in order of merit which will be
arrived at after adding all the points secured by each child according to the terms and conditions set
out in paras (i) to (vi) above.
In case there are more children who score similar total than the seats available, the selection will be
made on the basis of draw of lots in the presence of at least four parents.

Sleep or suspense? Not sure why most of the schools have not published their admission schedule yet. Coming out with the guidelines by 29-30 Dec would have helped parents in planning office leaves etc.

4. Declaration of the age of the child by the parent or guardian.

3. Voter I-card of any of the parents.
4. Electricity bill/MTNL telephone bill/water bill.
5. Unique I-card of mother/father/child issued by Government of India.

2. BPL Ration card (yellow colour)
3. AAY Ration card ( pink colour).

Dear Ms. Sakshi Jee;

We stay near Jhandewalan & we belong from Maharashtra.  Our First kid is 3 years old now & we are trying for nursery admission.  Can you please help in listing out good schools around Jhandewalan, as we don't feel that our first child can get into any school because of the point system.
