Criteria and Timeline for Admission to Pre-School

The admission process has been designed for transparency and equal opportunity to all applicants. In case an applicant does not secure admission due to paucity of seats, it is in no way a reflection of the child or the parent’s caliber.

Age Eligibility : The child should be 3 years + as on 31st March, 2013

Total Seats available for admission to Pre-School : 90 Seats for children under Economically Weaker Section & Disadvantaged category (25%) : 22

The school office will be available to help all applicants from EWS & Disadvantaged groups in filling the on-line registration forms on all working days between Wednesday, 2nd January and Tuesday, 15th January, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.

A draw of lots for admission under the EWS & Disadvantaged groups will be conducted on Thursday, 7th February, 2013, at 4:00 p.m. at Vasant Valley School.

Once the children have collected points under the above mentioned headings, they will qualify for the 68 seats under the various categories decided by the school.

 In the case of seats remaining unfilled in any particular category (except EWS and Disadvantaged groups), such seats shall then be available under the general category, on the basis of points accumulated.

Monday, 11th March, 2013 to Friday, 29th March, 2013	Fees from parents or guardians of selected children in the Second List to be collected.
Saturday, 30th March, 2013	Closure of Admissions

Admission under General Category:-

1. For proof of residence

- Any one of the following documents is required: Ration Card, Voter I-D card, Telephone Bill, Electricity Bill, Water Bill, Passport.

Admission under the Economically Weaker Section and Disadvantaged Group Category:

Submit anyone of the following documents under each of the following categories as proof:

Date of Birth:

1. Birth certificate under the Births, Deaths and Marriages Certification Act, 1986.

2. Hospital/Auxiliary Nurse and Midwifes (ANM) register record.

3. Anganwadi record.

4. Declaration of the age of the child by the parent or guardian.

Parent Residential Address:

1. Ration Card issued in the name of the parents(Mother/Father) having name of the child.

2. Domicile certificate of child or of his/her parents.

3. Voter I-Card of any of the parents.

4. Electricity bill/MTNL telephone bill/Water bill.

5. Unique Identity card of the mother/father/child issued by the Government of India.

6. Passport in the name of any of the parents or child.

Proof of Income

1. Income certificate issued by a Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tehsildar.

2. BPL Ration card (Yellow coloured).

3. AAY Ration card (Pink coloured).

Proof of Disadvantaged group

1. A certificate issued by a Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tehsildar or any other Competent Authority.

2. Caste certificate issued by the DC Office.

3. Medical certificate from Govt. Hospital in case of children with special needs/disabilities.

4. A certificate issued in accordance with instructions issued by the Department of Women & Child Development, GNCT of

   Delhi, vide order dated 11/12/12 in case of Orphan Child.
