WHICH ONE CATEGORY SHOULD BE REMOVED THAT IS ACCEPTABLE TO EVERYONE ?

ALUMNI... REASON BEING PARENT ALWAYS PREFER TO GET BOTH CHILD ON SAME SCHOOL FOR EASY HANDLING.. BUT SIBLING SEAT ALSO BE RESERVED IN TOTAL AVAILABLE SEAT I.E IF TOTAL SEAT ARE 90. 25% WILL BE FOR SIBLING REST FOR GENERAL

i agree on this......families who are not belong to delhi , they are here from past some time never get thses points.....so it should be removed from the list.....

How is different from interviewing the parents if one is retaining Alumni points? Sibling and Alumni only perpetuates a dynastic mentality and rule. They should be removed

Alumni Category should be removed.

Alumni is a Legacy preferences or legacy admission process. It is a type of preference given by educational institutions to certain applicants on the basis of their familial relationship to alumini of that institution by creating a hereditary privilege. Legacy admissions systems are nothing but affirmative action for the rich and affluent.

Getting accepted into a school simply for your lineage is wrong and unfair. Everyone should be given the same opportunities no matter who they are or who their family is.

Mr.Vohra is already fighting against this and with this alumini points RTE Act remains meaningless. Hope Mr.Vohra will raise this issue once more and make the govt. to change their admission policy soon.

Another great fun is that few parents mentioned here in this forum that even new schools allotted points for alumni.

Hi Lathaa mam,

One quick question, can you please clarify what is the meaning of provisionally selected as per the statement below for admission for DPS Dwarka. Does it refer to EWS candidates??

4.4 Display of list of provisionally selected candidates for admission: Friday, 01 Feb 2013 at 4.00 p.m. Intimation regarding draw of lots if necessary, will also be displayed.

Provisionally selected list will be displayed after verification of documents and if any tie points exists then they will go for a draw. It is for general only.

Binny Singh, provisionally means admission subject to fulfilment of applicable criterion. Thats on verification your name was selected for admission and now it is a happy moment to all such provisionally selected for admission.

Shortlisted and Selected are two different words. 1st one is interview in another words and the second one is naukri pakka.

i feel the point distribution is UNFAIR as SIBLING - 30 points ( look at the Quantum) , ALUMUS - 20 points ( look at the Quantum) . FIRST CHILD/GIRL ( 5 points ) Combined .. unfair .

Even for Neighborhood Max point =25 points. how disgraceful.

and then they say the ADMISSION is FAIR !! :-((
