WHICH ONE CATEGORY SHOULD BE REMOVED THAT IS ACCEPTABLE TO EVERYONE ?

There is lot of fire against Alumni getting any reservations. Just to clarify the justification that the schools have given over the past few years - Alumni have studied in the school for 3 or more years. They have been a part of the system and understand the school and its policies better than a General person. Also, the parent would possibly like his child to follow in his own footsteps and get the rigor that he is familiar with! There would also be better bonding among teachers and wards who are familiar with the parents who've benefited from being their students! All these at some stage could possibly allow schools to give some preference to Alumni. However, the way schools are going about defining Alumni as anyone who's passed out from any of its Branches or non-core branches is definitely not in the "Alumni" spirit!

Dear Paramjeet Singh ji and Divay Gandhi ji, even if the schools give 5-10 points to Alumni then also they would earn more points then neighborhood points and finally their total score would be more. Schools further can t fix sub quota under general category fixing seats for siblings and alumni, even if this happens , other parents (neighborhood ) will face more tough competition as the general seats would be reduced....what I think is there should be complete removal of sibling and alumni category

Cause sibling still has some meaning that if both the kids are in the same school its easy for the parents and may be security wise alsi its better
But in a democratic country like us...admission should not be available in "Virasat"....

What about the chidren who are neither first born or girl child,can't have sibling or alumni in more than one or two schools,where do they get admission,they can't make 45 pts only in neighberhood criteria.
I guess first child category should be excluded

Where should the parents of first child go? In every school most of the seats will be filled by alumina or siblings. I am very much worried about the admission of my First Girl Child

This is not good we are livng in a democratic Country and their should'nt be any category. Creating categories is just like discrimination & de- motivation for parents. Adimssion to any school should be equal for all, except for EWS and people with Special needs. It should be transparent like a Clean Glass of filtered water. I agree & support Mr Vohra

alumni should be strictly removed from the points.....and i feel only distance from school should be the deciding criteria.
