Alumni points should be removed from the criteria
Alumni category should be removed from admission form.
1. Why points for Transfer case - My father shifted to Delhi 8yrs back. What's the difference between me and other who transferred in last one year ?? Why wieghtage for those ?
2. Alumni - Should only given preferrence over 5% of seats and only if they were active in school activities in past years
3. Sibling - Earlier there were no point system. Childeren were admitted due to various other criterias. But now there is a point system which means its beneficial for those who already admitted their childern earlier when there was no point system. Sibling criteria should only be there if first child is also admitted through point system OR sibling cases should get preference for 20% of seats.
4. Distance - Point for distance should be same if school has transport to that area.
5. Special category - Should be given weightage
6. EWS - seats should be reduced.
7. Girl child - Why there is more points of Girl child ?? Does govt think that these parents are not willing to send their girl child to these schools ?
8. First child - What if your first child is a girl and studying in a girl school. Your second child (Boy) neither will not get any sibling point nor any first child point OR even if you want your second child should study in a differnt school then the first one, its very difficult to get him through.
Its not a fair system. There must be quota of seats for alumni OR sibling...rest should be a draw..
Alumini points should be removed. Sibling points are still justifiable but i think number of seats should be fixed so that a first born child with no sibling or alumini points should also get a fair chance for admission.
Dear Mam/Mr Vohra
It means that only parents either have past(Alumni) or present(Sibling) relationhips with the school are entitled for admission. What abt other parents, do't they have rights to get admission. My opinion is that there should be some fixed %age of seats out og total seats for both the categories. Like in DPS Dwarka, 90% seats have been occupied with sibling quota. But regarding Alumni quota, I dont think parents have been passed out from Dwarka branch. DPS Dwarka is not tool old that prents were passed from this school.
Thanks..
alumni should be removed....sibling is a genuine case but problem is this for sibling every school has different marks...like some schools has 30,25,20,15,10,5.....there should be same criteria for all schools .If alumni criteria schools want to keep it should have less marks like -5 only...

What do the points for Transfer cases in DPS Dwarka mean?
1.9 Transfer cases: Parent(s) who have been transferred to Delhi from overseas or other states excluding NCR Delhi due to service exigencies between 01 April 2012 and 15 January 2013. (Applicable to Government employees only)
Lathaji
Then how is it possible to have transfer and sibling points. Are they trying to imply that the sibling was admitted in the middle of the session to the school
That is why they do verification and all those will be caught during verification.
Is DPS dwarka going to release new list if they find documents are not in order.
Alomst all the people got shortlisted on Alumni and sibling basis. Where will parents go if they have first child. In that case parents are wasting their time in applying these type of schools in which they are giving first preference to sibling and alumni people. Please suggest?????
