Nursery Admissions in Delhi NCR 2025-26

Form Dates | Admission Criteria | Results | Fee Details | List of All Schools

this is a request to all the parents who are not being shortlisted in good schools in their neighbourhood to gather together to question the point system about......the fact that if there are no points for  parents qualification as parameter for a child to get into school then there should be no points for the alumni.......becoz if a parent is not from a good school is it not the childs right to get a good school which is in neighbourhood................why should alumni get advantage if the professional parents are getting no advantage.

please parents get together and let us convince the authorities which decide the point system  that distance should be the only parameter so that the children dont have to travel much.

i totally agree with this

I agree with you Dr. Naina

100% agree with this point

Dear Chavi , Juhi, Suman and Naina ji,

According to your logic, even distance should not be in criteria.

If you don't have a good school in neighborhood then is it not the childs right to get a good school which is little far or you will change your house just for getting nursery admissions, Then in future real estate near to good schools will be very expensive (ha ha hilarious) , I think if you differentiate between schools then every child have a right to go to best or good school .

Dear Neeraj,
I can very well understand the woes of those parents, who live in areas without any good schools. But this problem cannot be tackled on our end. The only way to tackle that problem is to bring all schools whether government or private at par with each other. Giving equal opportunities to one and all. But right now, in present situation this is like we are talking Utopia.
Lets first tackle a problem which is roght in our hands. We can discuss, the town planning and urban governance related issues in another discussion.
Definitely every child has the right to go to a premier school and get premier education. But right now the question here is about not even getting the opportunity to be in "their shortlist" because they favor siblings and alumni. Lastly, would you be sending your child to a school beyond 20kms of your residence in present traffic conditions???? Its only going to get worse in coming years and the child has 14 years to travel that much. Not to mention you will be sending him/ her to tutions, extra-curricular activities, etc. etc. after achool. 6am he/she leaves home.. school at 730am, leaves at 130pm reaches home at 330pm..goes for tution at 430pm comes back at 630pm, homework from 630-830...followed by dinner and sleep. Means..."ALL WORK AND NO PLAY...."

Dear Juhi,

Then why not sibling, Just thing your first kid going to one school and second going to another. Its even difficult for the parents and students.

Neeraj.. Even i have supported the sibling cause in my posts on another blog. My first child is not my only child already. I have to go through this process 2 years down the line again. I definitely understand the woes of those parents. What I have said that even in that case there should be a limited number of seats, which when not filled should add up to general category.
As far as sibling is concerned I think very few would deny that it needs to stay..its only the alumni category that most people have been objectingto.
So agree with you Stuti. Rationalising the neighbourhood schools might be a long drawn process but it needs to be done. Then only parents in residing in areas where there are no good schools can benefit

100%agree..the parents who r not from Delhi & now are in Delhi because of their jobs

 what will they do...........
