Hi all,
I am looking to admit my child in prenursery for 2014-15. I thought of nursery but then decided that I will be more comfortable with my child going to prenursery first.
Enclosed are some of my thoughts.
1. Lotus Valley: Visited the school. Infrastructure is good. CBSE board. Personally to me the school's loaction is an other advantage
2. DPS Apple Blossom: I have not visted the school yet. Most people, I have spoken to give a very average feedback for DPS. I have interacted on phone. with them.not very impressed
3. Suncity preNursery: Forms will be out in nov. The school has been in news for child abuse
4. Shikshantar pre Nursery: I was considering the school..its quite sought after..however the feedback on shikshantar is that its too alternate and child might find trouble in coping up with studies.
Would be great if you can advise on which school to prenursery is better. It will greatly help if you can tell which other schools have pre-nursery that we can consider.
Also as you can see from the list...I don't have many schools to apply to..here..I would REALLY appreciate if folks familar with gurgaon addmissions can advise that is it easy to get admissions to pre-nursery in gurgaon? Given that I might end up apply to just 3 schools is it enough??

try for scottish high.
many thanks..I was not aware of Scottish high prenursery...appreciate your advise!
Sakshi, I think we are in the same boat. If I may ask whats the DOB of your kid?
I would suggest drop Suncity from your list. They have the worst student teacher ratio (22:1). Scottish high, Lotus Valley and DPS 45 are 3 good schools offering Pre Nursery. Both Scottish and Lotus have 10:1 student teacher ratio. Apart from that you can try in Sri Ram early years (Badhte Kadam) for Pre Nursery. My daugher is in Pallavan play school and they also offer pre nursery (called Group C) so if you want you can try there also. Hope it helps.
Thanks Nidhi...great to hear frm you..its soo good to connect with people in similar situation to seek opnions on what should be done.
My son's date of birth is 25 Jan 2011. I will apply to Scottish, Lotus, DPS. I am not keen on Suncity ....is also low on my list.
Also my preference will be to go for a prenursery that gives direct admission to nursery. I think Sri Ram early years doesn't give direct admission to Sriram main school.
Lotus said forms will be out by Aug 22-23, DPS Apple Blossom forms are available...Do you have any idea when does Scottish high comes out with forms.
Among Lotus/DPS/Scottish..whats your prefernce/ranking order.
thxs!!!! :-)
Scottish said their forms are out after 15th Aug and they are on first come first serve basis and they have very few seats. Regarding ranking these 3 schools, as per reviews Scottish is the best but I am not confortable with 2 things in Scottish - one is their compulsary day boarding (few people feel its an added advantage) and the fact that lot of kids face problems in shifting from PYP program to ICSE in class 6th (I will focus on verifying this if I get through Scottish). Lotus has mostly positive feedback - just heard that they have very rigid curriculum...not sure if its true and if its really a disadvantage. DPS 45 - last in my list - heard that academic focused though some parent on this forum and one of my friend said that they do have lot of extra curricular too. So I am going with the flow and will decide once I secure admission.
thxs!!!..my list is more or less the same...DPS is last on the list...
I second Nidhi as many parents had same apprehensions regarding Shikshanter in previous years also.
