Form Dates | Admission Criteria | Results | Fee Details | List of All Schools
We have started admission process for our daughter for Nursery session 2104-15. One thing we are confused about is whether complete AC school like Lotus Valley is better or schools like DPS Sec-132 which offer AC classrooms till Nursery/Prep but are non AC after that. In our time, we have studied in non AC schools but now kids are used to AC playschool, AC car, AC in home etc. (even we are :-)) so will she very uncomfortable is she is in non-AC classroom?
Looking forward to views from you all.
Regards,
Jaskiran

Very good topic.last year also we had big debate.
Yes, I saw old threads shared by Lathaa, very interesting views.
Thanks for starting this topic. I would be really interested to know people's view and opinion on this topic.
I see there are three types of schools:
1) Fully and centrally air conditioned, even the corridors and toilets are air conditioned
2) Class rooms only are air-conditioned
3) Nothing is air-conditioned
Then there are two type of buses: AC and non-AC (like Sikshantar, Ryan etc.)
In my opinion a child should grow up with the ground realities, and I would prefer a non ac school for my daughter over an ac school.
Agreed
You can see different opinion of our parents here

Thanks Lathaa. I see from old thread that this discussion was going on last year as well as before that. Really tough to decide, on one hand I think child's immunity maybe better by being exposed to normal weather but on other hand, "normal" weather is not very frequent in Delhi/NCR, its always either too hot, too cold, too humid :-). And i myself can not bear being in very hot or very cold environment and I think it affects ones productivity too.
In my opinion, only classes should be air conditioned not the whole school, other wise children will not be interested in out door games.
